I don't know! but my best guess would have to be Zelda I mean she is a princess, but, I don't know if she goes to the twilight realm??? ???

i thought i heard somewhere that zelda is transformed into the twilight princess when she goes to the twilight realm. but she still looks the same and wears different clothes.

Yeah, we see much of its prowess in Zelda. The storylines get one twist after another. Look at the Master Sword in TWW. When Link pulled it from the pedestal at the bottom of the castle, Ganondorf was able to wreak havoc. That would be an ironic twist; therefore, I wouldn't be suprised if Nintendo had twists for TP, either.

A game would be boring with no twists! :D
And since TP is meant to be "the best Zelda game yet" there is guaranteed to be major twists.
Back on topic!
If anyone has seen the TP videos they will probably have seen Zelda in her black funeral robes (someone sed she was mourning Hyrule), I guess she is in the Twilight realm there. Correct me if I am wrong.

look at Link, when he enters the Twilight Realm he transforms into wolf, im not sure that count for everybody, as for Zelda, she have those strange wierdo powers... what about Midna? she can be the Twilight Princess, or the twilight form of Zelda... :D

I believe that also has been speculated.

I saw a video with Link in his human form talking to Midna who popped up to give him a hint as to what to do so i don' think she is Zelda. Unless she was talking to him from the twilight realm ???

It can't be Zelda. That would be too obvious. My bet is Midna, or someone no one are expecting. Like Ilia. She is the daughter of a mayor, so she does have some power. And she just suddenly disappears after Colin has been taken.

The last we see of her is when one of the Bokoblins checks on her when she's unconscious. I don't think they take her, and when Link comes to himself again he's alone. It's possible she's sucked into the Twilight Portal.

Ganon could be a ghost, that would add a twist to the gameplay and the story...and it would make ganon really hard to kill >:(

Hmm, a thought has just occured to me... What if The Twilight Princess were the ghost of the Zelda from OoT?
I don't know why I just thought this, but it's a real open possibility. Could also be that Zelda is actually deceased, and exists only as a spirit of sorts. Maybe not Midna, but close...

Also in some time of the game it's say that midna didn't really care about zelda and the light world and midna is the TP because she was the princess of the twilight realm but zant got the throne with his new more powerful magic, but she wanted to hidde his identity

when u get all the mirrour pieces and once you have got bak to the mirror place in the desert ,you then get to no who the tp is and the sages (whatever they are) say that midna is the tp and midna says "you no" and that oviously meens midna is the tp cause she kinda confessesand i was soo wrong about zelda being the tp
