I loved it because I could go back and fight the bosses again.  I love the transformation masks (except for the Deku Mask).  Being Oni Link rocks ( ;D , but much wider)!  Got to love that time-space continuum. ;D

We don't even get to see him as a man.  Tingle was blocking the way in the end credits.  And the Japanese wonder why we hate him so much?

Maybe he didn't grow back into a man.He was afraid to go back to Anju 'cause he didn't have his wedding ceremony mask.I thought he was afraid to go back to her 'cause he got turned into a little kid. :)

Disregard Ganon's statement; it's incorrect.  And no, Kafei grew back into an adult.  Majora's curse was lifted off of him.  We don't see it because Tingle was in the way. >:(

Well, besides the entire Tingle concept, I have to say that I admire this game. It's one of the few games that you can beat every single boss over and over again without starting over. ;D

That is exactly why MM is my favorite Zelda game.  It'll even beat TP, unless they have a special feature in TP to fight past bosses again.

Have you noticed that in nearly all Zelda games, the landscape has to consist of  Green, Water/Ice, Fire and deserts. They just have different names and are re-arranged a little. But yeah, MM's landscapes were great. :D

But i eventually got it, that was awesome!

JK, i love it because there simply is more to it than pretty much any other zelda game(i havnt played TP yet so i dont know about that one)

OMZVG!!! After reading som of the posts i remember more about the game. i really need to play it again

Well, the fact that we could transform into someone of a different race to affect gameplay was a staple in itself. Me, I think rolling around as a Goron at neck-breaking speed was freaking sweet! :D

And again, let's not forget that you can beat bosses over and over again once you've beaten them already without starting a new file. Also uber coolness.

Title: Re:Who loves majoras mask

Majora's Mask was a great game, but it just seemed too short for me. Most of the game was taken up by sidequests and filler. There were only four dungeons, so only four heart containers. Except the Deku Shrine or whatever, all the dungeons were way too hard, and I still can't complete them without a walkthrough. The only items you get in dungeons are arrows.

Majora's Mask was a good game, but I'd only give it 3.5 stars out of 5. It had room for improvement.

That's what I said about your mom.

Seriously, though, who cares if the only dungeon items are arrows?  Arrows are cool.  If you don't think arrows are cool, then you're not cool.

Do you want to be cool, Whocares?!

You thought MM's dungeons were hard? I'd go for a "epic Whocares" here, but that's not anywhere near strong enough.

So, I am just going to point and laugh at you.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

-point and laugh-

I dunno, the puzzles aren't that hard to me... and unlike half my friends, I'm okay with arrow-shooting, especially with the UFO thing. But... that's just me.

By the way, this game is **ing amazing. I love it. I can't get enough of it... and the songs are amazing.

Does anyone else find it funny how OOT got yelled at for having blood with Ganon, but no one cares about the Mask itself bleeding like crazy when you kill it?

I do think arrows are cool, but there are cooler items, you know. Like the Grappling Hook from TWW, it had more than one way of using it, unlike arrows. Don't even get me started on the Keaton Mask, either.

Seriously, I did think Majora's Mask was a good game, but it did have room for improvement. I would have liked if it had another dungeon or two, that would fill in most of the room for improvement.

And yes, I do think the dungeons were hard. I even thought that the entire TP dungeon set was easier than just one of the last three dungeons in Majora's Mask. They weren't easy.

Ever stop to think that MM had the perfect amount of dungeons?  I mean, really, a dungeon for the northeast corner of Termina?  That's just ridiculous.

And quite frankly, why get a ton of items when getting a ton of masks is just as fun and cool?  I mean, really, the Zora Mask more than makes up for the lack of a boomerang in MM.  And just imagine if Snake had the Stone Mask.  *drools*

I love using the bomb mask. If you use your shield, you take no damage. ;3

And, yeah, masks > items any day. Every other game has your dumb little arrows and boomerangs, only MM has masks. :3

Hmm, Link as a Great Faerie....That very well could make some fangirls bisexual.

As for Keaton....Do you mean MM Keaton or TMC Keaton?  Because I'm thinking MM Keaton.

Also, unless you say otherwise, I will be crediting you as the source of inspiration for the June 2008 episode of The Legend of Blah Blah.  So make your choice:  mediocre fame or anonymity?

No, I didn't think 4 was the perfect amount. While the dungeons were original, four just isn't satisfyable for me. Honestly, I didn't even like them very much. Termina was a great landscape, but it just missed something. What, I don't know, but something wasn't there to make it perfect. Mabye it was because of how it rapidly changes from one environment to the exact opposite in just a matter of a few yeards?

Anyway, even if the masks were cool, I wasn't satisfied with the game. The Oracles and Twilight Princess are examples of perfect games, they had everything a player could want, but Majora's Mask was missing something, and too much of the game was taken up by sidequests. It doesn't deserve a perfect 5, but about 4 is appropriate. Room for improvement is there.

The melding of opposite climates was cool.  It broke the laws of science.  Perhaps a law of perception or two.  And if you can't appreciate that, then stay away from my Zelda game!  It's going to be all about breaking the laws of reality!

Also, I tried that "shield while using the bomb mask" thing.  You were right, Fisk!  You don't take damage!  Awesome! =D

I <3 this game I was only able to play it for the first time last year it was gorgeous. Though I spent about fifty years on that last goron bit (where there is a series of thin platforms and ramps, and you have to hit the corners at the right angle to turn) it was so hard.
But yeah at first I wasn't too fond of the time system, I hated that people just forgot all about me, but I grew to love it. It's Lush!

Okay, I'm ready to address this now.

So what if there were only four dungeons and you wanted more?  Video games is just as much about telling stories as it is about beating the crap out of everything.  The land of Termina is centered around time and (to a lesser extent) the four compass directions.  The four dungeons symbolizes the importance of direction, and throwing in a fifth dungeon would begin to ruin that symbolism.  Four temples for the four main compass points was perfect for Majora's Mask.

QuoteThe Oracles and Twilight Princess are examples of perfect games, they had everything a player could want, but Majora's Mask was missing something, and too much of the game was taken up by sidequests.
The Oracle games and TP are examples of perfect games for you, but certainly not for me.  I feel that the transformation rings in the Oracle games should have been able to allow attacking, and TP could've saved right before you went to face the final boss.  As for the side quests in MM, that's what helps MM tell its story so well.  If you just blaze through the temples and the Majora battle(s), you miss out on so much of the story that the game isn't worth playing (unless you just love to kill stuff).

No offense, but this doesn't address his point at all.

Whocares thinks there weren't enough dungeons, and you retort by stating that there's a storytelling reason for this. Well, yeah. I'm sure he realizes this. It still doesn't change the fact that he thought there weren't enough dungeons.

The people who made the game didn't have to design MM the way they did. He wanted a game with more dungeons, which is why he liked TP and the Oracles better. He doesn't care why they decided on that number of dungeons, he just wants more dungeons. And they could have designed MM with more dungeons. There's nothing inherent about the sixth Zelda game that means it has to be based on the four cardinal directions, or anything like that.

I hope that made sense. ;)

Edit: i of course do not agree with him at all

i just thought i might point that out

I'm actually playing through this game again! lol! Funny I stumbled across this topic. I just decided to get some extra things before I continued into the Great Bay area, such as extra bottles, the Guilded Sword, and a few more pieces of heart. I've stocked up to 1000 in the bank by now (I wish every game had a banking system) and I'm about ready to go take on that HELL of a Zora story. Its in my opinion the hardest area in the game.

You have to go through Zora's Domain, only to realize that you have to go through the Pirate's Fortress (Which is a dungeon in itself), to get the hookshot, and a picture of a Pirate, just to give it to a dude, who gives you a seahoarse, which guides you to yet ANOTHER set of problems, which in turn leads you to the hardest dungeon in the game. I wish I could put that off longer, but I have to brave the dungeon sometime... and It's boss was one of the hardest I ever fought too.
