Title: Disappearing horses
Post by: Anju on June 05, 2006, 03:14:47 PM
If you go to LonLon Ranch before you wake up Talon, you might notice there are eight horses in the pasture. After you wake him up though,go back and there will only be five.(plus epona)Where did they go? :-X

Actually, I apparently inherited Romani Ranch.  That's why I needed those three horses.  A stallion and two mares.  Best way to get some colts.

I know what happened to them! When you woke talon up and he went to the ranch,Malon was mad. >:(Talk to him and he'll say,"It took a lot of doing, but I finally got Malon back in a good mood. :)he probably traded the three horses for a foal which is Epona.Problem solved! :D

So Epona wasn't there before you wake up Talon?  I didn't know that.

I don't know where she could have been. There are no other ranches.Maybe from the castle?I don't know. :-X

No other ranches we can see in OoT.  Or maybe Epona was born while Link was talking to Zelda at the castle.

7 years is kinda old for a horse...
older epona looks like she's 2 or 3!

I know! It's like Link's riding her and she suddenly falls from old age!You don't ride a horse that old across the country!

Lol! But I still don't understand how Epona can be so enrgetic after seven years... Unless Hyrule horses live longer than normal ones (Or a wizard did it...).
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Hi no Seijin on July 09, 2006, 07:27:30 AM
Sure.  Blame the wizard.

I think that since Hylians were gifted by the goddesses, any livestock the Hylians raise are also superior to any others that the other races raise.  Look at the Elves in The Lord of the Rings.  Their food is always superior to everyone else's.

I hate Lord of the Rings! :P

Them there are fighting words, missy. :P

So, yeah, what where we talking about?
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Davros on July 11, 2006, 08:17:07 AM
If the Hylian horses are blessed by the goddess and live longer, does this explain why Hylian milk from Hylian cows heal serious wounds? And why people can get drunk on this milk? (Though that does only happen in MM...)

Most likely.  But I don't think it's the milk itself that is alcoholic.  They must be adding something in it.  Probably beer or whiskey.

Or maybe the owner of the milk bar just drugged that guys milk, he diddn't seem to like him too much...

Maybe the Gorman brothers put something in it before Cremia delivered it. :)
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Hi no Seijin on July 12, 2006, 09:39:05 AM
No, the Gorman brothers try to break the jugs of milk.
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Davros on July 13, 2006, 05:45:05 AM
Yeah, why? They seem to be able to go fast enough to go past the cart (They slow down to keep behind it) So why not attack Cremia, knock her out (Or kill her, your choice) and then nick the milk. Why smash it? If you want to stop Milk being delivered kill the cows (Or the owners).

Maybe they're too drunk to think about all of that.

Lol! "Warning: too much milk is bad for your healh..."

i like rum more than milk any way
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Davros on July 13, 2006, 01:13:35 PM
Rum is probably too strong for the Gorman brother, he doesn't look like the kind of guy who could hold his drink. So he went for the milk (Only to have it drugged...)

Hi Mutation boy sup

boy!!! I'll have you know... *sigh* never mind.  :-*
Back to subject, if Termina clock town has only one bar and a political group ruling ( a mayor and co.) then you would think that there would be inspectors sent to see wether the milk was being drugged.
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Hi no Seijin on July 14, 2006, 07:41:41 PM
Maybe there's other places in Termina, but they weren't important to the storyline, so we don't see them.  And there is Mountain Village.  You can't call it a village with only two smithies up there.  There is more to Termina than the N64 can show.

Chances are most of the people who lived there moved away when it started to freeze over. It would be nice to see how much more there was to Termina as it seems a safe bet that there will be plenty of Zelda games based in Hyrule (Or new Hyrule) but I doubt we'll see Termina again...  :'(

I like Termina.
Title: Re:Disappearing horses

I like Termina better than Hyrule.  Actually, OoT Hyrule and TMC Hyrule is up there with Termina.
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Anju on July 17, 2006, 05:48:47 AM
Termina is cool 'cause there's an ocean, mountains, swamp, canyon and a town! This time, the people have names and it is more,up-to-date.(There are bars and inns-hotels,like today.) :)
Title: Re:Disappearing horses
Post by: Davros on July 18, 2006, 05:08:31 AM
Also in MM the people in Termina had there own lives that they could lead and went to jobs, met friends, got robbed, had relationships with other people. You felt like you were a part of not just one community (That would have been enough) But several spread across a great nation, each with it's own values, beliefs and troubles. Termina is one of the most rewarding and experience filled places to explore and be a part of in any game and shows yet another side of that special Zelda magic that makes the games that much better then many other games out there. *Sigh* Rant over. You may come out of the trenches now.

People in OoT stand in the same place all day and few move at night.
