well, they don't reference the events, truth. but things (aka the wolf songs, etc.) are in TP from WW, and from some of the other games too. some things are in the universe rather than the timeline it seems. if it happened in the universe at some point, it will be used at other points in the line

Well, i have a little more done...
QuoteIt's raining. Groggily, Lenara woke up in her makeshift home, a small cave near the castle. She never traveled to Hyrule castle before, but she had become curious. Always looked upon as an outcast, she journeys where she will until she can find a place of acceptance. That's also a thought that dragged her to Hyrule castle. Perhaps the princess might be of assistance...
Her master once spoke of a child that snuck into the castle to speak to the princess ages ago. The Hero of Time.

"Youngling, you see, this fairy child's destiny began after Princess Zelda spoke with him," her master thought a moment. "Actually, when he first met Zelda, he was seven years old-- precisely as old as you are now!" Quite obviously, the master had had an epiphany; however, this wasn't necessarily good for poor Lenara.
"Master, if you are implying that I could ever have a great destiny by speaking to a princess, you cannot have thought it through; I think that the princess would have to have an intertwining destiny with me," Lenara, smart for her age, showed her master a flaw in his almost plan. "As you have said, both the fairy child and the princess shared the same destiny: to wield a part of the Triforce and defeat the evil in Hyrule. I do not believe that is my destiny."
"You do not know your destiny! You must never question me!!"

Lenara never forgot the stories or the horrible way she was treated by her master; in fact, she built upon his plan after her flight. Now the plan helped her and not her foolish master. Walking out of the cave, she noticed that she woke up mildly late: it was already halfway through the night. With little time to spare, Lenara deftly slipped past the sentries and guards lining the path to the castle. By the time she made it beyond the castle walls the sun was already creeping up the horizon.
Where exactly could the princess be...? After wandering a few minutes, a voice from behind startled her.
"What are you doing h--" the woman, as Lenara now saw, stopped when Lenara had turned. "That symbol..on your belt buckle...that is the symbol of the Sheikah... You must come with me young one." Clearly confused, Lenara backed slowly away looking for an escape. "Girl, you must come with me for the princess has dreamt of your coming!"
Lenara stopped and realized that this could be either the best decision in her life, or the most complete failure she's ever had.
After ten minutes had passed, Lenara saw that this woman had brought her to the royal chambers of the princess. And, not five feet away from her, the Princess stood watching the sun rise. Turning to see her new visitor, Lenara finally beheld the Princess Zelda.
"Thank you, Impa, for showing our friend the way," she smiled at the awestruck Lenara. "Impa, I must speak to her alone. I shall call you when she needs to leave." The woman, Impa, bowed and slipped away leaving Zelda and Lenara alone together. A look of great sorrow and hope passed almost unnoticed in Princess Zelda's eyes, but she smiled and waved Lenara to the window.
"As you may know, there are many stories throughout our history of a hero rising up and saving our land of Hyrule from the forces of darkness. But, alas, time is cruel and our heroes have faded for they were no longer needed. Darkness is slipping into the sunlight once more; can you not feel it? An ancient evil is awakening. We are now in need of a hero once again--the Hero of Time! I feel that the Hero of Time is reborn in this world and with him the evil he expelled." Zelda stared out the window. "Sadly, the ocarina he carried was lost with the hero long, long ago..."
"Princess," shakily, Lenara tried to tell Zelda her secret, her discovery ages ago. "Before I traveled here, to this castle, I explored much of this land of Hyrule. I wandered into the woods and became very lost. Finally, as I could no longer hold myself up from walking so long, I stumbled into a wide area with nothing but a stump and what I recognized to be a skull kid. At first I was mildly frightened because of how weak I was, but when he noticed me, he just walked over to me and helped me recover. We became quick friends. This skull kid was full of stories of his immensely long life and we traded stories of our different experiences. One of his stories in particular caught my attention for it spoke of the Hero of Time." Lenara reached for a pouch, that never left her since she got it, off of her belt. "He said that I reminded him of a promise he made long ago and he gave me this." She gave her little pouch to Zelda, and Zelda reached in and pulled out a small ceramic piece.
With a strong sense of apprehension, she turned it over in her hand. She now beheld the royal emblem. The Triforce. Gasping in horror, Zelda managed to say, "This was the key to the Chamber that housed the Blade of Evil's Bane! That sword is the only thing that could defeat evil for good!" She calmed herself down before speaking again, "Thank you, Lenara, for bringing this to me. The ocarina must be fixed and the hero found and I will trust you to do that for Hyrule. Unfortunately, you must now leave before you are caught; may we soon meet again, friend." As Impa showed Lenara out, Zelda stood contemplating the past and the future. What should I do? Having not slept during most of the night, she felt she needed to rest if only for a moment. She laid down on her bed and when she shut her eyes, she immediately was consumed by a dream.
Four colored figures stood before the darkness. One stood strong and completely red, one stood tall and completely green, one stood solemn and completely blue, while the last figure stood proud and gold before the others directly in front of the wall of darkness. In spite of their efforts, the darkness rumbled a hideous laugh and fell upon the gold one. Two of the others stumbled back, but the red figure let out a cry for the gold one. Suddenly, the gold one, no longer gold but an unholy white, floated above their heads and began to glow brighter and brighter until--
Zelda jolted awake from the dream, this vision. Were these colored figures possibly the avatars of the Goddesses? If so, who was this gold one representing? Could it maybe be that girl from the other dream....

so pretty much the main thing we can say is the legend begins with OoT (well, until Skyward Sword comes out-- then it might start there lol) do you think maybe the legend is told by a person outside of time? that would account for the separate timelines.....maybe

Me and my friends were actually talking about this lately! from what we saw in the trailers, we guessed he was like the master sword lady, but could that indicate he's NOT the main bad guy? idk... maybe he's just magic gone bad...

I'll just say that i was raised in a christian home with a christian family and all that stuff. My parents told me when i was real little, "this stuff isn't real" that was enough for me. people who speak out against video games address gamers like we are mentally unstable, like we believe completely that what we are playing is real. granted there is a small group that may take it too far, but that is not the majority of gamers. it's like saying every animal is a dog when there are many different species of animals. I suppose it's all a matter of perspective...

Hmmm... okay, i'll try out HA2. as for character development, i actually have that all figured out (her backstory, where she's from, etc) it was just the environment of the world she's living in i'm having issues deciding. in fact here's how i decided to start the story
Quote"Let's name her Lenara," the mother broke the deep silence. Her husband stared gloomily into the night.
"We both know that we cannot keep her; we swore upon the Goddesses." The knowledge of what had been done weighed heavily upon these parents.
"Now what are we to do, then? We cannot just leave her!" the Gerudo woman cried in the dark silence. "Maybe the Goddesses would let it go--" thunder roared in the distance startling the unfortunate couple.
"No," the Sheikah man concluded, "We must leave her fate to the Goddesses."
Wrapping the girl in a warm blanket, they decided the Goddesses would uphold their end of the bargain. They left the girl with only one clue of who her parents were: a belt and buckle with the Sheikah eye and a small, curved dagger customary to the Gerudo. Leaving their only child, the sages of spirit and shadow prayed that the Goddesses would keep their daughter safe.
i have more details of what there talking about ready for later but there's a little of her story

Fan Works / Zelda end of the world fanfic?
March 21, 2011, 06:15:16 PM
Okay so recently i made a character based off of me and thought she could be super cool in a zelda setting. well i couldn't think of a good setting except her being the only one to be balanced with courage, wisdom, and power--and she's the only one who can bring the three chosen of the goddesses together to destroy evil one and for all. that's a basic overview of the story but i kinda think it needs lots of work so if anyone would be willing to shoot ideas for me to run with or things i can change to make it better please comment!
