Start with the magic hammer.  Just run up and go all kamikaze on it.  Then, once the helmet is broken (completely off), bomb it to hell.

It's agreed, that Moldorm, while not hard to beat under normal circumstances, it a total pain in the patio.

I remember throwing my SP against the wall many times while fighting him. (yes, while fighting him). :'(

The Magic Cape really makes that fight easier.  Otherwise, make sure you get the double-magic upgrade and just go crazy with the Fire Rod.

Yes, it only took 4 tries to beat Mothula with out all the extras.  I used the fire rod until I ran out of Magic and went crazy with the sword and finally he blew up.
