They are very cheap online.  I'm a veteran Up your Arsenal online player, and I can say that the Sniper Rifle is abuse beyond belief.

Yes, you have to be able to train yourself to move around as much as possible to avoid sniper shots.

Anipers are awesome, they help me pick off targets like crazy from like 40 feet away.
