The Daemonsage was borne of a fair Hylian woman and a dark Sheikah. They named him Gehn, after his father's grandfather. His mother raised him, for his father had been felled by The, so-called, Hero of Time.Of course he never knew this for his mother would never dare to speak on such a topic. He was once like all the other children, but he never felt quite right. He never knew his father or of him but he knew not to ask. Eventually he aged and became old enough to set out to discover and pursue whatever quest life had in store for him. He traveled far and wide gaining experience in the world and learning more of the history his people (whom he thought solely to be the Hylians) and that of other cultures as well. One day he chanced upon meeting link who, after all the years was still as strong as he had been in his youth, and conversed with him for he had heard many tales of the Hero of Hylia. Link felt an immense evil aura surrounding and even pulsing from the young man who stood before him. Without warning Link drew his sword and slew the young lad with a fluid, almost streamlike, move lest he have to save the world once again from a force of such immense evil. Gehn's body collapsed to the ground, blood spraying in spurts from his neck as his form lay, spasmatically twitching, on the ground at Links feet. Link wiped his blade clean and left the body where it lay. Thinking he had stopped an evil before it could have even begun, he left. Gehn's spirit spiraled down to the darkest corner of oblivion, while his body was left to rot, and eventually, be eaten by the beasts and birds that roamed Hyrule. Though his corporeal form had been desecrated and was no longer whole, his lifeforce could not be so easily done away with. He had died an unclean death and he'd be damned if he wouldn't pursue some form of revenge on the person responsible for his untimely demise. He was still unsure of what he could do, if anything at all, to avenge himself so he waited. His darkness was awakened. It festered inside his thoughts and developed itself. Finally his time was drawing near, and somehow, rather someway, he would deliver the same to that wretched soul who destroyed his life, the one whose name he had never forgotten, the one called Link...but fate though otherwise and so he became the daemonsage and helped the guy with the green hat save the day.
I didn't want to think anymore so I ended it. Oh yeah he gets old, or his spirit does, and dissolves. that's pretty much the equivalent of death.
