I'm going to be offering another Holiday Contest, much like last years.

THe Contest itself will basically involve the Caption Game. Basically, best three submissions win a grand, first, and second prize. My question is, what should I offer as prizes for the contest?

Keep in mind the total of the three prizes can't exceed around $80, and no prize will be more expensive than $50 tops.

Darth Sauron

Zelda stuff seems like an obvious choice.  You could give away soundtracks, or those cool Yujin sets that you can get on ebay.  You could buy a copy of the original NES LoZ that's complete with box, map and instructions and give that away.

I'm kinda new here, what did you give away last year?

What about one of those ceramic Ocarina of Time replicas? Those are cool, and they cost around $40 or $50 dollars. They advertised them in Nintendo Power. The website is www.songbirdocarina.com. That's only one, though. I've seen more websites with the same product.

Anyways, they give you the Ocarina and a songbook with some Zelda songs. It's awesome; I'd move heaven and earth to win me one o' them....
The Fourth! A webcomic about the hopeless case of the game villain.

Phantompig.

Yes, I would definitly enjoy some video game soundtracks. I wouldn't mind a used gamecube. Runs around 40-50 dollars around our neighborhood. Obviously that would be the grand prize. How much would the sound tracks cost. Those could be the secondary and third prizes.

Pickles

Ooooo, awesome! I can't wait! Don't have any prize suggestions, though.

Why didn't I think of this before?

OK, if you're still open to suggestions, I have one to make. Why not give away a copy of the Complete Zelda Series DVD? I mean, it's only $20, and it's a great Zelda collector's item.

That's actually probably going to be one of the items, so great suggestion.  ;)
