Take a look at this screenshot from the title sequence of Oracle of Seasons.  Who is that horse Link is riding and what is the structure in the background?  Many of you will say it's Epona and Hyrule Castle.  However, I quite disagree with this.

One, that could be any random horse.  Only the horse in OoT and MM was given the name Epona.  Any other horses seen in the series are not given names.  But whenever most people in the Zelda community see Link riding a horse, they assume the horse is named Epona.  But the horse could very well be named Epona; we don't know, and we certainly can't find out.

Also, I highly doubt that building in the distance is Hyrule Castle.  Granted, it is a castle.  But why would Hyrule Castle be in the middle of a forest, where a large majority of Hyruleans wouldn't be able to get to if they had a problem?  It could be a vacation castle for the Royal Family, but Hyrule Castle I think not.

The oracle of seasons is in a different place its not in hyrule but the little film at the biggening could be in hyrule and that links just leaving there to go into a different place and hes taking his horse .Or that he might be leaving his horse at lon lon ranch because the horse is'nt in the game .

I'm not saying  that i'm right i could be wrong but i can't think of anything else .

Well, first, congrats and becoming an Expert Thief!
Two, it could not be a seperate kingdom because Zelda says Link will appear when Hyrule's in danger.
Three, that castle could be the castle of a former feudal lord of Hyrule, there is evidence that the system could have taken place there.
Four, It could be a temple. There are dozens of them in Hyrule, this could be the grand one. Or a church, mabye.
Five, it is a forest, so it must be the Hylian, Human, or Kokiri parts of Hyrule. Mabye this is a time that is not even in another game.
Six, my theory is that it is an feudual castle. Feudalism has appeared in OOT, LTTP, AOL, and MC in the Zelda series, and the setting is medieval kingdom, so it makes sence.

It could also be the Deku Scrub area as presented in FSA.

I doubt it, because that area was completely taken over by the Dark World, even during the end credits, meaning the trees are very weird.

Just as long as we all agree it can't be Hyrule Castle, I'm good.

I've never really thought of feudalism in Hyrule.  But it probably does exist.

But who's to say the forest is Hylian, Human, Kokiri, or Deku?  For all we now, a group of Gerudos could've adapted themselves to live in the forest.  Maybe that forest is where some Rito moved to after the events of TWW.  Maybe no one lives there and someone just built that castle/temple/church thousands of years ago and that's what the Hyruleans use to house the Triforce.  Maybe that wasn't even where the Triforce was.  Maybe Link just passed it on his way to the Triforce.

You could be right, it doesn't directly show Link entering the castle thing, but then why show it in the first place?
