nintendo trying to throw us off?

O.K., I think Nintendo is trying to throw us off from thew real timeline. At one point, Miyamoto said TWW was 1st, and later he said TP came before, then after TWW. Any other times this has happened? I would say the LttP-OoT thing, but a lot of people believe that.

Evilslayer

Miyamoto never said that TP is between OoT and TWW. Aonuma did. But that was before Miyamoto turned the tables. As for what he said about TWW being before OoT, anything said a game's placement in the Timeine before its release should be taken with a grain of salt.

The only actual timeline released is the one where ALttP is after AoL. Other than that, the Split Timeline has been confirmed, TWW and TP's placements after OoT, and that FSA is the oldest tale. Nothing of that have been contradicted by Nintendo.

FSA can't be the oldest. Its manual says it came after FS, and TMC implies it's the FS prequel.

Really belongs in the timeline thread but remember that Vaati in MC (until the end) was in his human (or Minish form) until the end. Vaati appears (if I remember correctly) in FS and FSA as his one eyed self the whole time. That means MC happens before FS/FSA.

Evilslayer

No, the fact that the game tells of the origins of the Four Sword is the evidence that TMC is a prequel to FS and FSA. Vaati could have simply been reincarnated as a Minish after his defeat in FSA. If Ganon can do something like that, which I believe he does, so can Vaati.

And Aonuma said FSA is the oldest tale (before TMC was released, by the way), and that can be interpreted several ways. It could be that the legend of the Four Sword is the oldest legend so far in the series, with the exception of the 'Creation' legend. That's possible, because TMC gives the impression that the Legend of the Picori is not simply a few centuries before TMC, but several millenniums.
