Meanwhile, within the headquarters of the king's army:

*Stan sits in a room by himself, hodling a small sphere in his hand*

Stan: So then.... it seems that we're succeeding in finding the Angel's Tear, as we know just where it is. The only problem is getting it. These rebels are indeed strong, but they're no match for what's to come...
*Tom walks into room*
Tom: Stan, sir, the preparations are complete.
Stan: So everything goes according to plan...
Tom: He's about to send you an order, Stan, and here's on his way to the castle.
Stan: Good...
*Small sphere grows into a large crystal ball, floating in the air. In the crystal ball, an image of a dark cloaked figure appears.*
Figure: Stan... how has the war been going so far?
Stan: Everything is going according to plan.
Figure: Well then... on to business. I'm giving you an order, Stan. I will reach the King's castle in exactly 17 hours. By that time, I want you to... bring this army under my control.
Stan: ...Yes, leader.
*Figure disappears, crystal ball shrinks to original form*
Stan: Let's go Tom.... We're on our way to King's Castle, and meet up with a subordinate. And once we're in the castle, we'll begin our plans...
Tom: Alrighty...

Quietly, a man stepped across the floor of the king's army. He sighed, his breath condensing on the side of one of the tent's set up for the troops of little importance. Looking about the man drew back his cloaked head and scratched his balding head. There was so much to do. This man was...

Name: Rell
Appearance: A thin balding man with pointed features and an elegant body. Tall and with piercing eyes, only the laughter lines on his face betray his age and kind heart, though recently things have begun to change within him...
Abilities: Controlling the new power a mysterious creature has given him through symbiosis has given him, fairly good with a blade. Nothing special.
Weakness: Inner struggles with the chaotic mind of his "host".
Goal: To set his "host' free. To rid it of it's pain. To help it understand itself.
Side: Invaders
Rank: Soldier
Assistant: The great intelligence, a disembodied creature with untold memories formed into one from some unknown magic or event. Requires a person to join with. Currently Rell.

Rell glanced at his hand as it convulsed again...
So much pain... Kill it... Reach for... What is my name?... NO!!!... Don't please... I don't... HELP ME!!! HELP ME!!!....

Rell winced in pain, forming mantra's in his mind to try and calm his panicking host.
"Stop it... There are other minds here... You don't want to..."
But it was trying. Reaching out for minds to answer it's endless questions, endless voices, the great intelligence sent it's tendrills forth. Rell could see them struggling to enter the tent... Suddenly the tent flew open and a soldier stepped forward.
"What's the matter? You new? Bet you can't wait to get to those rebels, huh!"
Rell watched as the tenrills reached for his mind...
We have to know... Who am I?... Why... EXPLAIN....

With great effort Rell managed to quiet the voice, and calmed the intelligence. The tendrills moved away... The soldier stared at Rell with a worried look on his face.
"hey, are you okay?"
"Fine." Rell replied. "Just excited is all." The soldier seemed satisfied and went back into his tent to talk to the other soldiers. Rell began to question the intelligence again... "Why do I have to do this?"

Because we say... PLEASE DON"T!!!... You must... I want to know... We want to know... Please, you must... Horrible, filthy...

An endless array of answers flooded back. None of them made sense. Rell sat down and cried as the invisible tendrills caressed his body and took over again, ready for the battles to come...

*Stan and Tom stand in front of a castle*

Stan: There it is... his castle.
Tom: So we are to follow are orders exactly?
Stan: Yes. Any screwing up could cost you your life, whether by the soldier's hands or his.
Tom: ...Understood.
Stan: It's is decided, then. We are each going to enter a different part of the castle, and then we'll release the prisoners in the castle's dungeon. Once that distraction is over, we'll begin our actual goal.
Tom: Yes. I can't wait to see if I find anyone interesting.
Stan: you know his orders, do not make any unnecesary fights, they will only take away time and call attention.
Tom: Rats.
