Rain hit the window, creating a soft sound that would normally make one drift into his or her dreams... The occasional lightning lit the room, which was soon followed by the boom of thunder. A boy, about 15 lay on his back staring at the ceiling that hung over his head. Something was preventing him from falling into his usual sleep. He sat up in bed, gripping the blankets, so as not to let cold air reach his skin. Wrapping himself up, he looked out the window, staring out into the side yard. His bedroom was nestled on the second floor, therefore, he found himself looked over the trees that had recently been planted in his community. He felt movement at his feet, and turned to find the source. His dog, Dexter was looking at him inquisitively.

Then suddenly- a noise. Dexter's ears perked up, and snapped in the direction of the door. It was cracked open, and a blanket of murky darkness sat behind the door. The dog got up, and jumped off the bed, landing with a thud on the floor, and made his way to the door. Nudging the door open, he disappeared out the door to investigate the sound. The boy felt a bit reassured, as he layed his head back on the pillow, which had cooled since he sat up. Then, a noise that made him jolt to attention.

*YIPE*

He heard his dog cry out from downstairs. Suddenly, the teen was filled with an uneasy feeling, that gripped at his senses. He swung his feet onto the floor, and pulled on the pants that he had discarded before he went to bed. Grabbing his penlight off the table, he crept out into the darkness of the hallway. Walking past the bathroom, he turned and began slowly descending the stairs, looking over the railing as he went. He saw a form sprawled out across the tile of the entryway, and quickly walked over to it. Flipping on his penlight, he aimed the beam of light down at the figure, and yelped in horror. His dog's body (what was left of it) layed on the floor, bleeding heavily.

Frightened, the boy rushed back up the stairs, now turning on lights as he went. He needed to wake his parents immediately, and he knew it. Swinging open the door, he jogged to his parents' bedside, and placed two hands on his mother's side, nudging her in an attempt to wake her up. "mom, th-" he stopped, noticing something odd... His mother was cold. Very cold. Her skin was... solid. Cracks ran down her arm, and the boy once again flipped on his penlight, only to nearly drop it in shock. His mother's face was emotionless. Her skin looked almost wooden, in fact, he was almost certain that is was. As he looked closer, he realized something that made his spine run cold with fear. She was a puppet. Her eyes were beady, and her mouth was that of a puppet. He tore the blanket off the bed, to see that his father too was nothing more than a puppet. His mind filled with questions that didn't have answers, and he tried to wake up a few times, as if trapped in a nightmare.

Fleeing his parents room, he turned, and made a dash for his brother's room. His younger brother was in danger, and he didn't want to be the only one left. He threw open the door, and stopped. His heart stopped for a moment, and all was silent. His brother's form blocked some light the flittering through the window. His brother's small form stood in front of the window, unmoving. The teen slowly felt around the wall for the light switch. Desperately feeling around for the switch. Finally, his fingers ran over the switch, and he flicked it on. His brother's form, now completely visible was hunched over. ". . . Bobby?" the teen asked, his voice cracking. Bobby stood there, not moving... then, a thud was heard, as if something had fallen. On the floor, the young boy's arm lay on the carpet. The teen's face was filled with terror, as the arm began to break down into what looked like tiny insects as they began to scatter in different directions. Bobby's head slowly rolled off of his shoulders, colliding with the floor, and slowly breaking down into insects as his arm just had. His entire body slunk to the floor, and morphed into thousands of insects soon after.

All the lights in the house began to flicker, before they ultimately shut off completely. The light coming through the window provided enough visual to see the insects creeping closer to the teen. The teen backed away, and fled through the doorway. "What the hell is happening?!" he cried out, skipping stairs as he descended the stairway. He fiddled with the front door, desperately trying to open it. Finally, he swung it open, and stepped out onto the front porch. The sky was a dark red, and the vegetation that surrounded his house had wilted into dead Gray matter. The awning of his porch began to drip, and melt onto the porch. The sewer cap in the street shot from it's place, and hit a car in the street, breaking the windshield, and causing the car alarm to go off. It was still softly raining, but water isn't what fell from the sky. It looked like blood! Suddenly, out of the sewer crawled something foul. Its form was large, and skinny, as it stood up. It was lengthy, and began to walk down the street. Four crows sat on the electrical box in the yard.

"What in hell?!" The teen shouted, wanting to flee back into his home, but remembered the fears that drove him out. As he stood in the doorway, he noticed something that made up his mind for him. Dexter was no longer in the spot in which it had died. Not bothering to look for his shoes, he darted off the porch, and into his driveway, which now had a large series of cracks running down it. It was then that he noticed the moon, which was black. A large black moon completed the horrid scene which had set over his neighborhood. As he stared at it, he became entranced... His eyes widened, and his body began to turbulate. He opened his mouth, wider, wider, and wider still, until it began to stretch to unnatural extents. A hand shot out of his gaping mouth, which was growing wider by the second. Suddenly, another arm shot from his mouth, and they began stretching his jaw further apart. A head became visible, and it was soon pulling itself from the teen's gullet.

Finally, the body slumped to the ground in a heap as he being stepped out onto the pavement. The teen, now covered in a sticky film, opened his now blood-red eyes, and stared out at the new darkened horizon. Smiling, he dove into a nearby shadow, and disappeared. One of the three crows, who were watching from where they were perched, shook it's head, and looked at the other crows. "Its that moon thats risen... anyone who gazes at it is sure to be horrifically transformed. It must have affected his family, and thats what awoke him." The crow at the end looked back at the distorted house. "First, his dog must have noticed it... Thats probably what turned it into the undead." The second crow looked up to the second story of the house, sighed. "It rose from that direction, right in front of his parent's bedroom window. His mother probably noticed it rising, and told the father." The third crow looked into another window. "The boy's brother probably noticed it as well." The last crow looked into the darkness, and closed his eyes. "Then, the boy darted from his home in a frantic panic, and noticed it last..."

The crows looked at eachother, and began chuckling. "Looks like the end of man has finally come. A dark horizon is among us for all of eternity." The crows began chuckling, and they chuckled until they could chuckle no more....

The End

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

Sorry about some of the misspelled words. I had to use Internet Explorer instead of FireFox because FireFox keeps crashing on me, and I didn't have the spellcheck to help me. Anyways, thanks for the comment, I felt like writing out one of my nightmares, and adding a few of my own twists to it.

Don't make pointless posts here, as they actually count in this area.

But ZV, you're very talented.  I'm impressed.
