Just for those who don't know, Orson Welles' 1941 film (he is both a director and an actor) Citizen Kane is considered to be one of the most influential films of all time. It is also the most critically beloved film ever made, having been voted the greatest film of all time on numerous occasions.

Some of his other films, such as Touch of Evil and The Magnificent Ambersons, are also highly acclaimed.

You know, I think the phrase 'greatest ever' is a bit overused. No one's denying it's a classic movie, but I think I've seen a few others take the top number a few times. But eh, whatever. "Greatest ever" is always so subjective, that listing a movie as THE greatest becomes problematic at best.

Since when did I call it the greatest ever? I said it was the most critically beloved film ever made, JQ.

Wow, another time where I was right and JQ was wrong! That makes two times! I am happy!  :D

lolwut?

And besides, I didn't say that YOU said it was the greatest movie, I simply stated that 'greatest ever' is an overused term, applicable to many films, so 'greatest ever' becomes... not related to just one. Making THE greatest hard to define.

I don't know why you take everything I say as something against you.

Mysterious F.

Sorry, the way you said it made it look like you were pointing a finger towards me.

Well, the total is back down to one...  :(

Whocares this strange competition only exists in your head

Mysterious F.

No no, it's not really a competition, but more along the lines of a running gag.

I've changed it again, but not for the purposes of this topic. This time it's Robert Mitchum as Harry Powell from The Night of the Hunter.
