i dont think you can realy base the zelda games on the dark ages. i mean , they hardly had bombchus or colthes that can make u breath underwarter - did they? it is a totlay fictional world with no link to our own timeline

The standard technology is the same. We may not have had Bombchus, but cannons were invented by the Chinese 1,000 years ago, and with cannons come gunpowder.

As for the clothes that make you breath underwater, that's not technology. That's magic.
