Wasn't there some supposed secret in Pokemon Red/Blue where you could use the space shuttle in the Pewter Museum of Science to fly to the moon and catch Mew?

I've never heard of that.
To catch mew I remember having to go to Toys R Us and doing somthing,
or some complicated long drawn out process in the game.

He was a reward you got out of some event or something. Can't completely remember. I also heard something about sneaking into the boat dock though.
