RPGs

So, just talkin' about RPGs of all varieties: Video games, paper and pencil, MMOs, and any other kinds I forgot to mention.
So right now, Oblivion and Fallout 3 are keeping me relatively satisfied (yes, I know they're more Action/RPG than straight up RPG), probably gonna subscribe to WoW, since I found out that several of my friends in tennis actually play it, and I've tried the demo, and it is relatively fun. chrono Trigger DS looks interesting, I'll probably pick it up some time. Magic the Gathering (which is kinda of a card-game RPG)  is fun, but I don't know anybody else who plays it too. Finally, D&D is looking tempting, since I found a basic starter kit for cheap, and I can probably convince a few friends to try it out with me.

I don't really like RPG's anymore. I... am not too sure why, I just grew bored of them. Things like Half-Life 2, Fallout 3, and stuff like that? I still play that, it's not really RPG, it's more of an adventure game.

MMOs suck.

No, really, they suck.  As in they suck your soul out through your ears.

Joking aside, I'm more of a tactical RPG person.  FFTA2 = awesome.  Except I could start battles with full MP instead of zero and building it up 10 points per turn. ><

I tried to get into Fire Emblem, but it never really got my attention. The FF Tactics series on the other hand, looks really fun.
As for MMOs, let them try and suck my soul out, because I'll just hide it! (Under my mattress, but don't tell Blizzard that.)

I have yet to finish FE 7.  I stopped at Chapter 27 of Eliwood's story, I believe.  What it needs is a training ground I can go to between chapters, like FE 8's Tower of Valni.

FE 7...man, my copy resets itself at random intervals, I get so close to finishing it and then everything gets wiped away...grr...

And before any of you get into all that talk that goes like, "Oh, Zelda's not an RPG series!" please read that article The Missing Link wrote at Zelda Blog about the matter and that it really depends on how you look at it.

Too bad Zelda Blog is down, though.

And Kingdom Hearts and Ratchet and Clank. Those are also freaking amazing. And Pokemon. And Fire Emblem. And Final Fantasy. Et cetera, et cetera.
