WHY MEEEEEEEE?!?!?!

Okay, so there is this kid. He's a sophomore, nobody really likes him, I find him a little annoying, but thats because he reminds me of myself. I remember the first time I laid eyes on him, I thought he was a girl because he sure looked like one. However, for some reason, he looks up to me, like Radar to Hawkeye, or Simone to Kamina, or what have you. He looks up to me like I was an older brother. I don't know why, I guess it's because we're so much alike, I but I find him annoying like that! I certainly don't look at him like Simone, I look at him as Artenborough! (Mags should know who I'm talking about.)

So today he apparently went home early today, and he was crying, just having a really bad time. His mother calls my mother, tells her the situation, and then my mother tells me that I'm going to have to have a talk with him. Apparently, he is bullied to the fact that he is contemplating suicide, and I just have to be the one to calm him down! I really don't have a say in this, because she has already set up a meeting for us at a McDonald's down the road from my house on Sunday! I really don't know what to say to him, this isn't my thing! But I've already lost one friend to suicide earlier this year, so I don't want to lose him at the same time! Guys, I'm in a sticky situation here. I need your help. What do I say to the poor kid?

Even the scrappy can be likable dude. He may be a pretty kewl guy. Just talk to him, keep it informal, and don't stress out.

And dude, if he looks up to you... Let him, it'll keep you on the straight and narrow.

And I know for a fact you're motto is "Always look on the bright side of life" if he looks up to you, teach him that, tell him, "Ignore them, they just don't like you because they're compensating for something." when people bully him.

Really dude, I can't see how this is all that bad. He may end up your best friend.

Take up the role of Kamina, teach him that "No matter what walls stand in our way, we'll break through to tomorrow!"

Thanks for the advice, man. Thats all I was really looking for. *sigh* I just...I just don't know what to say to him. I don't want to lose him, I've already lost one friend to suicide, and trust me, that is more than enough for me in one lifetime. I have grown to like him a bit in the past few months when I was actually in the same class as him (It was a mixed class between all four grades...I was the only senior. There were four of us.) But he didn't exactly show a...high school-like behavior. He took stress like Elmer Fudd from Looney Toons, if you catch my drift. Maybe if he were to grow up a little, I might have a little respect for him. But whatever. I guess I just don't have the confidence to confront him yet.

Hi no Seijin

Point out that high school doesn't last forever.  It'll be over before he knows it, and then he can get away from these bullies.

Well, apparently he had already gotten over it by the time we met, so there was really nothing for us to talk about.

HOWEVER

Our mothers got to have a chance to talk to each other, and I have come to the conclusion that from what they were saying,

WE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. IT'S ALMOST PARADOXICAL.

I mean, really! We suffer the same disabilities, we like the same things, I feel like I've known this kid all my life! The only differences between us are that he is taller than me...

...And I am more good looking.  ;)

How the heck did I miss this predicament? Gah, sorry I didn't come sooner, and I'm glad that things didn't take a turn for the worst.
