OoT Question

In the spirit temple as an adult,There is a room with anubis and 3 doors. If you go over to the wall Navi turns green and if you play the song of time a block appears there.Why?

Notice the symbol on it that looks like the one on The Door of Time.

It's used to jump over the pit, or something. It could be a way to find a treasure.

I know that I was just asking what it does and why it is in that particular spot.

It's probably just there to help the gamer.  I couldn't do anything but jump that gap.
