Creating a Pokemon Game

Alright, so here's the skinny:

I've been working on hacking a Fire Red rom tirelessly for about 4-5 days now, and I'm going to need some TEST BUGS.

People to play up to the point where I'm currently working and tell me how the game is so far.

Likes/Dislikes/Ways to Improve it/Spelling errors/Sprite Glitches/etc.

I need some help right now though:
I've run into a problem as far as starter pokemon go.

I was going to do Nuzleaf, Houndour, and Carvannha, but I got some negative feedback from that from a few of my friends. I changed it up to Bulbasaur, Totodile, and Torchic, but I had a problem there as well. You see, when you try to make Totodile or Torchic evolve, they'll stop as if you pressed B. I believe it has something to do with that fact that I haven't beaten the Elite Four and gotten the National Dex. I'm not sure though. What should I do about starters? I want it to be something creative, but... I don't know. Any suggestions?

If anyone is willing to be a TEST BUG, I've only finished editing up to Mt.Moon. You have to have AIM, so I can file transfer it to you, and you have to be willing to read as much as you can to make sure I didn't mess up anywhere. I'd really appreciate it from you guys.

There are TDC cameos!? :o

If you want to share files, try FileFactory.com. I'd say it's more efficient than using AIM.
