Map of developed world

Green is highly developed, yellow developing, red least developed, and gray unavailable.

Guess what color Mexico is.

I dount Mexico is that developed. Mexico City, probably. Mexico as a whole, no way.

The main qualities of a developed nation are:

1) Large industrialization and international trade.
2) Average Citizen has a high standard of living and many civil rights.
3) Large number of money and business in country.

These are the developed nations of today:

N.America
U.S., Canada.
Europe
U.K., Ireland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Andorra, Spain, Portugal, Italy, San Marino, Vatican, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Slovenia, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Malta, and by extension Bermuda (techniqually British) and the Farore Islands (Denmark).
Asia
Japan, Singapore, S. Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. (Yes, H.K. and Macau are independant from China)
Oceania/Pacific Ocean
Australia, New Zealand.

Only these nations have all three main qualities definetly in the bag. They are recognized as very good places to be in, and you have many rights there. Eastern Europe states are questionable, due to the Soviet stage.

Oops, I'm getting ahead of myself.

Well, compared to some of the countries out there, I'd say it's pretty developed. You have to realize, this is in terms of the whole world. They're quite less developed than the U.S. or Canada, but quite more developed than, say, Sudan or Haiti.

And lest we forget that that map isn't property of wikipedia. I don't even think WIkipedia made that map. They have sources for this sort of thing. And if you think wikipedia takes spammy editing lightly, be prepared for a rude awakening.

Chances are, it didn't make the map. Pictures from Wikipedia are usually linked from other sites or made by users, from my understanding.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Haiti falls under Least Developed Nations, the bottom 50.

I mean the AVERAGE citizen must be in a good lifestyle. Please, find a Mexican outside the cities that falls under the description.

If you've been there, then you've been in the parts the Mexican government allows you to be in. They forbid average Mexicans from going into American vacation spots like Cancoon, and vice versa. You have no idea what it's like there. The Mexican $00.50 is 5 cents in America, 10% of the price. The government might say it has civil rights, but I don't see them in affect. The 1st one is there in Mexico.

Let me redefine it:

Developed Nations as nations where the average citizen has legal rights and a high standard of living, the country hashuge industrialization and trade, and the business and average citizen's money is large.

Developing Nations have a low standard of living, undeveloped industrialization, and low HDI score. The sub-group 'Newly Industrialized Countries' are the ones that have alot of industrialization, and, by a guess, large number of human rights, an exceptable standard of living, and more money than broke.

Mexico is probably Newly Inustrialized, but not Fully developed. In fact, 2/3 of the world in not considered fully developed.

Other people: Wikipedia should have caught on to Mexico then.
