The fact that people took me seriously is rather amusing, actually. I mean, I'm not one for animal abuse/cruelty. I'm all for animal welfare, really.

And I really would like to not have to kill the enemies in Zelda, but I do anyways. I mean, if I were Link, Hyrule would be dead. But they respawn (except for bosses/mid-bosses) and stuff. o_o

the only enemy i couldnt kill would be Dark Link  :(but hes not an animal  ;)

Killing monsters is one of the funnest things to do in the game for me, along with the puzzles and adventuring. I can't help but feel happy when I slay an entire legion of enemies, and frankly, their one and only purpose in the games is to get killed right?
