OK in MC it tells a legend of someone driving out evil with the picori blade using WISDOM and COURAGE,and who better 2 do this than link and zelda.Now im not completely sure but its my guess of where TP is in the timeline and link isnt wielding the master sword in the tv ads or some pics i c,and if my theory is squashed i have another one...It's the story of when link returns from termina,which would explain y he's an adultand hyrule is all dark and ruined because he was not there.......

Well, TP has been stated by Nintendo to take place between OoT and TWW.  ;D

And I believe that the Picori blade may have been the Sword used in the original LoZ.

yes in LoZ(it makes sense because this was on new hyrule and the master sword was gone) he does use the picori blade so i dissmissed the b4 MC theory and went with the returned from termina theory...and it would explain y its raining in some of the sequences that we've seen(the start of the great flood)

When it comes to Zelda lore, my knowledge is quite subpar. But I will say two things: I think we should wait until the game comes out to make any assumptions about it.. and wasn't the MC the first in timeline?

And maybe this should go in the Theories forum. Just a preference of mine.. or maybe the Timeline forum. Bleh.  :P

Minish cap could not be the first in the timeline 4 it would not make sense 4 the rest of the series

I think that because MC takes place in the Four Swords Series the Link in those games is different than the Link in the Triforce Series.

And Nintendo has said that TP takes place between Oot and WW with a different Link than either game.

Oh, and OoT was the first in cronological order.

No, it wouldn't. It's been stated that it's a new Link AND THAT GANON IS BACK! It's impossible to include the Hero of Time and Ganon in a new game, unless it's a remake of OoT. But then it wouldn't be new. :P

Neither of your theories are possible. For starters, the Hero of Men has LONG hair and doesn't wear a hood. Secondly, the Master Sword IS in TP.

Y'know that forest picture with the yellow giant? Link is wielding the Master Sword in that picture.

As for your second theory, this is a NEW Link, as stated by Aonuma. It also contradict with the game. Ever seen the video footages? I won't spoil anything if not.

Oh, and Ganon has been CONFIRMED to return, which means that it can't be the Hero of Time.

If this guy had been lying, he would've gone along with the OoT->TP->TWW-timeline. Most likely, at least. But if you want real evidence, check this out:

Just a few months before the Japanese release of TWW Miyamoto stated that it would take place chronologically BEFORE OoT. Can we then trust Aonuma's (who just a month before had stated that it would be after TWW; people should remember that he didn't know any more back then than at E3) statement? No!

It's pretty clear that they don't know where in the timeline it takes place. That might hint that it won't be directly connected to any of the other games.
