I challenge you to a knife fight round of "Team Fortress 2." 2Fort. Three captures wins. Any class you want.

Now, we just need to figure out how we're going to play cross-platform.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Oh, I know, but he has "The Orange Box" for the PC. My PC won't run "Team Fortress 2," hence the having to figure out how to play cross-platform.

By the way, did you ever get "The Orange Box" or "Team Fortress 2," Gamefreak? If not, you should. It's super cheap now.

You can't play cross-platform.

Dem's da rulez

Twilight Wolf

I know. That's why I said we need to figure out a way to do so.

Or one of us could get the other version, but since my PC won't run it...

Twilight Wolf

Yeah, you know what you'd need to do.

Or we could both buy an Xbox 360 and get that version. Valve promises updates for it, but I think they're full of crap.

Keaton

well a good thing about having a version of the game that will never update is that you don't need to connect to the internet in order to play online

Twilight Wolf

???

Your logic is not logical. Explain, please.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Keaton

It's simple.  If you don't need to connect to the internet to update, then you don't need to be on the internet at all.  If you're not on the internet, that's just more bandwidth to use up when you're online.

But I do need to be on the internet to play online. It's just that Valve and EA are being *strong word*s about the PS3 version and neither will take responsibility for it, so it's update-less and buggy and will remain that way for eternity (probably). Far from unplayable and still pure, concentrated fun, though.

Either way, I'd love to see how we'd do playing against each other.

Not necessarily.  If the website for the server you're on isn't on the internet, then you don't need to be either.

Yeah, well, that's the way it's gonna be.  I'll get the orange box for the PS3... eventually.

And yes, I would love to play against you some time.

I would like both things very much. I'd imagine you'd be a good player, so you'd fit right in with some of my friends.

Besides, it's only $20. Considering "Team Fortress 2" alone costs that much on Steam, it's a steal.
