"Hehe, so I have a new roommate, huh?" said Zaphod, cynical as ever about his own situation, as he saw the new prisoner being thrown into the cell. The newcomer landed with above average agility, being barely bothered by the way the Moblins had treated him. He stood, grabbed his fallen hat and, with extreme naturality, started to search for a way to escape the cell, all the while ignoring Zaphod.

"Hey kid!" said the Wizzrobe, "You know you're not getting out of here just like that, hehe... Those brutes made sure the prisoners stay were they should. I would try, but as you can see..." Zaphod was being held against the wall by tight metal bars, his arms stretched and his feet just hanging around. The newcomer looked at him, silent, producing an awkward atmosphere.

"Err... by the way, I'm Zaphod, the Wizzrobe" he winked. The stranger spoke, gave his name "...Link? Oh, I have heard from you, you are the nice lad who has been wandering the land. Yes, I heard of you from the Rito Postman. So what brings you here? ...Well, if that's the case, we're on a mission together, pal. Can I call you pal? Of course I can!" Link rolled his eyes, and again started to kick the wall, looking for a weak spot.

"Hey! Do not underestimate my skills, I can get out of here with my magic, it is just that, well look" Zaphod started growling slightly, only his yellow eyes being seen in his shadowy face. In an instant, his body started to glow with a multicolor aura, but at the same time, a circle started to glow on the wall to which was being held. The circle was very complex and contained many unknown symbols in the perimeter. Zaphod stopped, and both the aura and the circle disappeared, and the Wizzrobe's head hung from exhaustion.

"So you see," he said, gasping for air "this circle prevents me from using any magic, so as you can see, I am stuck here..." a short silence was made, Zaphod knew Link was expecting help from him, but it was actually Zaphod who was expecting Link's help.

"I don't expect your having any kind of weapon, huh?" Link quickly reached for his back, but reached nothing; he looked around and searched his tunic for anything, all with the same results, he started ranting in low voice as he kicked a nearby jar. "Haha, I figured the guards would strip you of your things before they threw here, oh well, same for me, they took away my scepter, but I managed to hide this from them... uhn huh!" Zaphod started kicking and struggling against the wall.

Something fell from his robe, making a metal sound as it hit the floor. Link picked it up, and looked at the foreign object with curiosity. It looked like a box with a ring on one side and a small pole on the other, both were made of metal. Zaphod stood silent for a few seconds.

"Oh dear..." he sounded concerned "It seems I mistook my old Theremin for the actual thing I wanted to hide, oh well, the truth is pal..." then Zaphod's voice turn shadowy, drastically changing from his normal youthfulness "...the truth is that I have been here for a long time with no food, and actually, no kind of comfort; as you might know, Wizzrobes like me usually have frail bodies, as we focus on our sorcery more than anything. I was waiting for someone like you, because... well, I can't really keep up, you know? It's all right, I have made peace with that" he made a pause, realizing the weight of his words. "Ah... my life was reaching its end long before you arrived, pal, that's why I wanted to ask you, can you lift the curse placed over the Ivory Temple. You see, that temple is sacred to us Wizzrobes, it is the source of our knowledge and a great part of our magic. As you might have seen, no Wizzrobe is in condition to fight their way and destroy the monster that guards the temple" over the course of his speech, Zaphod's words had become slower, he was evidently making a big effort for every syllable that came from him. He stopped, aware of that he was about to die, with Link as the only witness of his failure. The Hylian sat in a corner, with the theremin in his lap, with a similar sense of having failed.

Both remained in silence, and time passed, at its ever cruel pace, the shadows in the cell became longer as the sun sunk into the horizon, its light entering though a single hole in the wall. Link looked at the theremin, it was an odd item indeed; it had a single button in the middle of the wooden box, a small metal pole came out on the right side, and a ring of similar material on the left. It had Wizzrobe language carved all along the edges of the box in golden words over silver edges. Link pressed the button, and was immediately surprised by a human voice coming from the box; startled as he was, he dropped the box, and it stopped singing. Unnoticed by Link, Zaphod barely raised his head to look at the scene, which would have been worth a laugh were it not for the circumstances in which it was taking place. The veteran hero slowly approached the instrument as would cat to a prey of unknown nature; he extended his arm slowly, and the voice started to come out of the theremin again, increasing in intensity with every inch that was lost between his hand and the metal ring.

He finally made hold of the odd instrument, which was moaning like a fallen fairy. Link eventually found how to control the voice of the theremin, controlling the pitch by moving his hand about the pole and the volume with the ring. He looked at Zaphod, unable to tell whether he was looking at him or not, for his eyes had always retained their yellow glow in the depths of his robes.

"Kid," Zaphod said, being this the first word uttered in hours "do me a favor, and find your way out of here, warn the people, tell them that the darkness is coming... yes, tell them..." the glow in his eyes started to weaken, little by little, until only two small, golden stars were visible. Link stood up, with theremin tied to his back, and played the only song appropriate for that scene. The Song of Healing came out of the theremin, singing softly, working as a lullaby for the Wizzrobe, the final lullaby.

"Elenir... do forgive me..." said Zaphod, whispering to himself "Pal, I'm counting on you... tell them..." Zaphod was dead, his body slowly vanishing, until there was nothing left but his former indumenta, and a mask.

OOC: Will part two real soon, I just need some rest right, btw, the comic is really close, I've made up my mind about which one I will upload, but you had better watch the original "planet of the apes" movie by then. Oh, and the usual, you know I love feedback (specially HNS's, since it is usually unbiased). See you later *melds into your shadow*

So this is why you wanted to know what instrument a Wizzdrobe plays.

Among the fallen clothing of Zaphod, only three things remained, a mask resembling his face, a pendant made of jade with an odd symbol on it, and an odd piece of paper folded in half. Link took the paper, unfolded it to discover it was a pictograph; a young woman was sitting on top of a white pillar; a grayish blue chamber, adorned with a multitude of thin waterfalls, was the visible background. However beautiful she was, she was obviously not of Hylian ancestors; her skin was gray, like marble, her white hair was tied in a single ponytail, her eyes were yellow, not only the irises, but the whole eyeball glowed with a faint golden aura, like Zaphod's. The woman in the picture was a female Wizzrobe.

He kept looking at the picture, and noticed that the Wizzrobe was wearing the same pendant that had appeared among Zaphod's belongings. Link then remembered what Zaphod said before... that; "Forgive me, Elenir" he said. So that person was Elenir, perhaps Zaphod's former lover. Link kept the pictograph with him. He looked at the pendant, now that he knew its origin, he felt more interested in its significance.

He snatched the pendant from the floor, and he immediately regretted it. The first thing he felt were all his senses being overwhelmed by surge of energy coming from the piece of jewelry. Had he screamed, he wouldn't have noticed. Despite being unable to make anything out of his conventional five senses, he started to perceive something else, something he couldn't have described later, for he had never experienced it. Link was suddenly able to perceive life forms in a whole new way, he suddenly felt the many rats that roamed the prison, the guards scouting the lower floors, even the birds flying in the outside; yet what called his attention more than anything were two things, one was the mask from the undead warrior, that rested several floors below his cell, and Zaphod's mask itself, which felt even clearer than the major life forms dwelling there. Link opened his hand and released Elenir's pendant.

He was lying on the floor, with his left cheek wet with his own saliva. He sat, still dazzled about the super sensorial experience he had just had. Up until now, he had thought of the masks as hollow objects, devoid of life. He came to realize just how much of owners remained in the masks they left behind. That's why he had no problem developing the skill of fighting with a giant blade, that's why he had no problem thinking like Mikau and the others all those years ago. Link stayed there a little longer, as the night finally came.

He stood, deciding it was finally time to leave that place for good. He took the mask and with a total absence of doubt he wore it. Unlike the mask of the undead warrior, his body was surrounded by a yellow aura, just like color of Zaphod's eyes. He noticed his body was frail, lacking any physical prominence, yet he felt full of energy. He took the pendant and, unlike his previous experience, he felt a warm sensation filling his body; as a Wizzrobe, he could control the power that flowed from it. He felt good, it was the only way to put it; it was beyond the state of his body. He took his theremin and hid it in his new robes, replicating those of Zaphod, yet retaining the general features of his Hylian tunic.

He looked at the bars of the cell; he laughed to himself, this would be quite easy. The new Wizzrobe wore the jade pendant around his neck, looked beyond the metal obstacle, and used his magic, already knowing what to do. It was so sudden, his cell vanished, giving place to the hallway that was just outside of it. He laughed energetically, making an early celebration of the success he was yet to have. He started to glide across the hallway, floating a faint distance above the ground. He rushed along the many empty cells, until he perceived a couple of persons ahead; a small group of Deku, sitting against the dark and cold corners of their shared cell. He stopped in front of them, rising his arms to enhance his presence. The Deku all grouped in a single corner, in fear of being harmed by the Wizzrobe. He smiled, he liked that.
"Please don't hurt my siblings, take me if you want" said the lager of the group, the leaves in his head were partially withered due to the poor sunlight in the cell.
The only response he received was Link forming a sphere of energy with his hands, which he shot at the lock of the door, blasting it open. He made a signal to the Deku, telling them to follow him, and continued his way. The same happened with several other prisoners, each making the group just a little larger; before he knew it, Link was leading a small army of convicts that increased in size for each level they descended, and soon it became unnecessary for Link to break the doors open, for now the strongest among the mob were freeing the prisoners; the Goron were tearing the doors right out of their joints, the Zora warriors swiftly cut the bars with their fins, the rest focused on making it to the lobby.

As they reached the third floor, the group came to an abrupt stop. A small squad of Moblins stood between them and the next staircase. Stupid as they were, they had something the prisoners didn't have: weapons. Link laughed in the depths of his tunic, for escapees had something the guards lacked: himself. Just like he did to escape from his cell, he vanished into thin air, to appear behind the guards. He blasted them away with shocks of energy, then, like a magnet, attracted their weapons to his palms. The fallen Moblins were dragged by the Gorons, put inside a cell, and locked with their own keys; there was only one of them to slightly raise his head before fainting. Link offered the lances to those who were no longer prisoners; six Rito stepped forward and took the weapons, nodding at Link in complicity, to which he answered in the same way. Each of them was willing to risk everything for their born right of freedom.

They finally reached the ground level, where they were already waiting for them; nearly thirty Moblins stood between them and the exit, but the twenty-odd escapees weren't about too give up that easily. No matter how much he wanted to help them, there were other things of more importance to Link; mainly getting back his possessions, which lied in basement. He couldn't leave them alone either; not all of them were proficient in battle. Link was the first to open fire; making use of a great part of the energy he possessed, he formed an energy concentration above his head roughly the size of a curled Goron; as he launched the sphere in his foes direction, the projectile split into smaller spheres of light, creating confusion among the Moblins. The former prisoners took advantage of the confusion and started their attack. In the middle of the riot, Link teleported to the basement entrance, left completely unchecked. Free of any obstacles, he reached the room where his weapons and items were being kept. Making use of another trick, he magically opened a hole floating in the midair. Quick as ever, Link put little attention to details and threw everything inside, closing it after the last object had been put inside. Again, the room vanished before his eyes, yielding the wide hall that had just been witness of the battle between guards and prisoners. Moblin bodies were scattered all around the floor, none remained standing. The escapees were already running across the gate of the prison, desperate for the sweet air of the fields.

Link left with the last prisoners; as he looked into the starry sky, something pierced the moon. To the east, where the moon was barely rising, a needle stung the celestial body, as if it were to cut it in half. The Ivory Temple. The Wizzrobes. Elenir. Link was coming; Zaphod and Link, they were coming.

OOC: This is so damn long! Oh well, there are still one or two parts left.
Questions? Complaints? Peanuts?
