Red Ring

How come a lot of the walkthroughs for Oracle of Seasons give info on where to get the Red Ring, which raises attack power?
I used to know where and how to get it, but I forgot the exact locations of the golden beasts needed to kill before you get it.

 ??? I think it was golden Octorok in the Swamp in the spring. Gold Knight in the beach south of the city in the summer. Gold Cat thingy in Tarm ruins in Winter. and Gold Moblin in front of level two in Fall
