Having it exist might not be a punch in the face to gamers at all. In fact, maybe it'll help make the difference between gamers and non-gamers all the more evident. If it means they'll be more willing to make games harder since they won't be worried about 'casual' gamers getting irritated, then fine. I'll play without it. I just want back my game quality.

Though I still think it's kind of ridiculous. I mean, I played the first couple LoZ games when I was under 10...

I dunno, I think it'd be kinda fun to see the game play itself.

This is basically why I've been watching a lot of speedruns lately, even speedruns of games I haven't even played (or only partially played). So many great games, so little time :\

So when you think about it, it can give both types of gamers something good. It would also possibly give speedrunners a time to beat--complete the game faster than the game can complete itself. It sounds interesting when put in those terms...
