Creativity (Or lack thereof)

Is it just me, or are there a lot of trademarked characters and such used? I've seen Naruto characters, Link himself, Final Fantasy characters....is there any kind of rule against this, or are some roleplayers just not very creative?

Um, yeah . . . unfortunately, some people refuse to be just aren't creative. To quote a short conversation Zeldaforever had with Kasei once . . .

ZF: "OOC: You guys really need to be more creative. I mean, look at you. You're bumming the whole thing off Naruto!"

Kasei: "OOC: thats the whole idea. we never get anywhere if we don't use known ideas..."

Which really just bugs me to no end, thinking that you can't get anywhere if you make up your own story. I mean, I made up every word in mine, and see how far it's gotten, spammers! Huh? DO YOU SEE IT, SPAM-SQUAD!?!?!?!?!

But yeah, they just aren't creative at all. I wish there was a rule against this kind of thing . . .

Yes, it makes me pretty angry too...honestly I don't think they should be allowed to be roleplayers, because they aren't roleplaying, they are playing a pre-destined role...

Kind of makes me feel guilty for using Veran and Onox, but I did associate both of them to Rose, and as soon as DG is over (whenever that'll be ), I'll be using my own characters.

Uncreativity makes my skin crawl... I've seen a lot of people rip off known characters around the interwebs, especially Sonic characters... mostly recolours.

It makes me glad most, if not all, of my characters are original...

Unfortunately, it's not against the law.

Except Veran and Onox are Zelda characters, so it is okay for that as long as they aren't....well, your character. Like the one guy who used Link. Sure you could use Link as an NPC or something, but to make him your actual character? Come on....

Yeah though, it gets really bad, it's kind of embarrasing really...

No, I'm not, but that actually counts as copyright directly using the characters, you know.

Yeah, like one guy who was using Vincent Valentine. and by using him, he brought guns into a medieval world and now there are guns being used all over

They REALLY need to make a rule about that before all of HA2 gets copyrighted.

No, there are still a lot of people who post creatively and are very good, it's just annoying to have the others there...
