So, well, Fisk has been playing enough Wind Waker to rot her eyes out. :3 With that comes the inane comments and easter eggs Fisk finds out. She compiled them into one topic for your viewing pleasure.

Mothula: The winged Mothula (the mid-boss of the Forbidden Forest & in other places) has very colourful wings. They're decorated with such gorgeous patterns... the upper pair has a set of eyes, for example. Now, when Fisk thinks eyes, she thinks of lots of things... Masks being one. Majora's Mask? Well, the upper wings even have the spikes on the edges! Now, of course, the pattern isn't exactly the same, but...

ReDead: So, well, the entire Wind Waker has this... Mexican/Aztec theme going on when it comes to monster designs and the overall look of the game. The ReDeads have blue skin, of course; a very popular colour for Aztec drawings. The huge hoop earrings are also very Aztec/Mexican. They also have dark gums, which... has nothing to do with anything.

Hylian Shield In the Hyrule Castle... there's these golden/bronze shields hanging up on the walls, fairly high up. When zoomed in on the Phoenix's body... it looks an awful lot like the Giant's Mask, a la Majora's Mask.

Adult Link Statue The boots on Adult Link in the castle... well, Fisk noticed that his shoes are the traditional OOT/MM boots, while WW Link doesn't have these. He's a bad cosplayer. >:

There's also really retardedly obvious things, like the Red Lions holding Swords, or the picture of Zelda and her crew.

As said earlier, a few of the masks from Majora's Mask can be seen behind the figurine maker guy.

I actually thought it had a Caribbean (including Latin American coast) theme to it. The islands, the monsters, and especially Dragon Roost Island are clear examples of that.

Ummm, where does that girl who tried to steal the bottle work at night?

Yeah, like I said, there's some really obvious ones like that one...

Dragon Roost Island had a very clear Andean theme to it... including musically. Oh, and most of the Rito are based off of real birds; for example, Pashli's cheek markings and his slightly spiked hair resemble a cockatiel, and the Chieftain has a large Steller's Sea Eagle like beak.

Thing is with every Zelda you are going to have a mix of cultures, but the main one in WW I would say is Gaelic/Celtic.

I can see the Re-dead thing, Nintendo is very subtle. I always get a little thrill when I see latin american stuff in Zelda, because... well it's awesome.

A place not on the map I guess. Could be only a few squares up, just out of reach. Same with the home of those three Goron merchants and Zunari's home.

I don't think she works at night, she lives with her father, doesn't she? Although where they live I have no idea...maybe under a bridge or something.

After you catch her attempting to steal from Zunari, she says you won't see her around at night anymore because she's working on a different island at night. (Severe case of insomnia, I guess)
