The only (non businessman) solution I could come up with is that Company A offers Company B lots and lots and lotsa money.

Thing is, it's not like Microsoft and Halo, where you buy the game once. Every WoW player pays monthly, and they've got millions playing and only more joining...I'd say it's short term gain, long term HUGE loss...

Most likely the money. Or maybe the fact that they bought more than half of their shares of stock, causing the company to officially be owned by the buyer. Latter or former?
