Personally I think avatars are great things. It lets you instantly recognise someone without looking at their name. It effectivly acts like a seconed face that gives away none of your pesonal details. (if you don't want it to)

Mine just speaks for itself... Try staring at the slightly blured image for long enough and you can see my face gazing out from the middle of the picture... Or you can look at the actual avatars face and imagine it wearing a huge amount of hair. That's me.

I'll take that as a compliment medli. It is quite weird but it suits my tastes and personality. Personally I believe that it is a classic homage to a long dead (but hopefully soon to be revived) character. That and it looks like me with no hair. ;D
