Haha I understand my friend, but if she really likes the opera, ask her out to go see an opera. You guys can then go out to dinner before hand and you can talk to find out if you really are meant to be. And if you still really like her well you will have to deal with the opera. But then she should have to do the same with you.

For instance, my fiancee and I we go to one another events for each other. Do we want to be there, no, but we do it for each other and we make compromises. That is the most important word besides "love" in relationships. You have to make compromises.

If you really like this girl, ask her out for a night at the opera, with dinner before or even after so you two can at least talk and find out if you both have something in common and want the same things.

DW

When did I say I don't like the opera? It really wouldn't be hard at all to sit through it. I just don't want to be the one singing...and es that seems like a good idea I just have to save up some money...with no allowance..hm...

Haha sorry my friend, well you can always make it simple. If she is really into Opera, then you guys can go out for dinner and then you could just play some Opera music on a CD player or something like that for her.

But the most important thing is...be yourself. You are a great person and you do not need help from anyone. Just be yourself and honest and nothing will go wrong my friend.

DW

lol that could work...cheap mans opera...

hmm we've had a lot of those lately no...?

yes, hopefully she will like me for me...I think I might talk to her before asking her out, just to find out a bit more about her. we have time before and after rehearsal.

Well just be yourself my friend. Hell I didn't find love until I was 24 and now at 25 I am engaged so just trust your feelings...sound like a Jedi now hehe.

DW

Hmm yeah I'm not gonna fret too much about it, I still have three years before I'm even living on my own. I won't see her until Monday, that's the next rehearsal

Haha there you go, time to prepare. Just do whatever comes natural to you my friend.

DW

That's what I'm afraid of though, I don't wanna look like an idiot ;) but I also wanna impress her so it's really confusing :-X

Hey there is nothing wrong with looking like an idiot in the name of love, I have done it many times. Even if you get rejected, at least you gave an attempt. So do not be scared to try, trying is one of the hardest things to do.

DW

hmm okay then. what have you done to look like an idiot?

....Putting me on the spot eh Shik?

Well in High School, I went up to a girl a began singing "You've lost that loving feeling" ala Top Gun version to ask her to Homecoming. Needless to say, it did not work which is why I play guitar...I cannot sing.

DW

I see. hehe, my headline on my myspace page is 'I think I realize why girls love guitarists--you ain't serenading anybody on the drums'
