Well with Pit being in SSBB and Kid Icarus on the VC, I think that might be a sign of the return of Kid Icarus. I really hope so cause the NES game and Gameboy sequal were both great games. And lets not forget Pit was a major character in the Captain N cartoon of the late 80s early 90s.

And with Zelda you do not even have to worry about Miyamoto's longevity as he has even said he has been grooming some people to take over once he retires so Zelda will be around as long as it sells.

The only new Donkey Kong games that have appeared recently are the ones featuring SOLELY Donkey Kong. The  Donkey Kong Country franchise is dead thanks to Rare.

Well really who cares about Donkey Kong anyways? But lets remember who created Donkey Kong...Miyamoto. The point is he has groomed many to do his bidding, Nintendo will do fine once he retires or dies, and if not...well luckily I will be too old to care about it.

Donkey Kong Country was a great game...I wish that would come out on VC....actually they did release Diddy Kong racing on the DS, that was a good game on the 64, but I have no idea how it handles on a handheld system..

oh. well my cousin has it so I don't check VC much, just when a Zelda game comes out to see how much it is. Still haven't gotten any though, he has no points...

Actully the only truly dead Nintendo game is Earthbound. They only made one game (and that was for the SNES). Yet Ness apears in every SS game. Hey wait a minuet.

Earthbound died becuase it obviously didnt muster as much support as the other games. Zelda musters more support from the crowd than Mario. It will never die.

Well actually there were three Earthbound games. They were called Mother in Japan and Mother 2 was Earthbound in the US. Mother 1 was on the NES and Mother 3 on the GBA. But there is always a chance it could be resurected. Obviously there is a huge cult following for the game and once it is released on the VC and it does really well there could be more. Look at Kid Icarus, it reappeared on the VC and Pit will be in SSBB, I have a feeling we will see new Kid Icarus games in the future.

Talking about US here. I don't know what goes on in Japan obviously. All I know is the the lucky Japaneas kids get games a month before us  :(.

In my opinion Zelda will end when all of these things happen

1.Hell freazes over
2.Jimmy Hoffa's body is found
3.Sony stops making retared products that cost twice as much as Nintendo and Microsofts stuff but only have room for 2 players and have horrible grafix.
4.People stop liking Vaati
5.Cows take over the Earth and have a vast intergalactic empire with Ozzy Osborn as thier king.
Fortunantly none of these things (especially #3) will ever happen.

I'm not one of those people who think Nintendo systems are the only way.
You would proubly describe me as a Microsoft fanboy. In fact if they made franchieses such as Zelda, Mario, Starfox ect for Xbox, I proubly wouldn't even own a Nintedo sytems.
I just don't like Sony products.
Get an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and plug them into a TV side by side. Compare the grafix. Also note the 4 controler ports on the 360 vs the 2 on the PS3. Note the $600 price tag on the PS3 box. In my opinion the only advantage for the PS3 is the sixaxis controler. Sony makes great games (like Jak and Daxter) but they need to work on thier systems.
I admit though that the Wiis grafix are worse than the PS3
Nintendo stuff never has very good grafix.
