Or perhaps they may accept him as, you know, the second coming of the Legendary Hero? Besides, he leaves Ordon at the end. I don't think it's realistic that after all that Link can just settle back down in Ordon and pretend as if nothing had happened. The only type of ending that is worse than those kind of endings are endings where the bad guys win.

Eralk Fang

And I completely forgot the ending, whoops. He's certainly not going to go home and play rancher, but that's his skill set, along with his Heroic skills. He'll probably end up a nomad hero.

I'm not saying Hyrule won't accept him as a legendary Hero. But Prince Consort? That's a different story. Zelda's probably got a whole league of nobles lined up for her to choose from.

Depends. In movies, it's sometimes very nice to see the baddie win. And in games, what if you play the bad guy?

I don't think Zelda would marry anyone in the game. Definantly not Link. I mean they met only about 4 times. And 3 of those times was as a wolf.

Somebody else. I think she could marry, just some nobility or other with a good character and capable of being a successful ruler.
Imagine Link as a king. Well-meaning, but inept. He doesn't fit the bill!

Eralk Fang

Well, we don't know if marrying Zelda means you are automatically King. After all, Midna talks about Zelda being groomed to rule. Zelda would be Queen, and her husband Prince Consort, to follow the British model.

Oh, yes, of course they wouldn't accept the hero as king.
But half the time it turns out like that lol

DW

Not really, Howl, name one time. Usually they earn a high place as a Noble or leader of the army or such.

Also, it would be hard for him to be King when he can't talk.

As if that wasn't just game mechanics.

And you have to answer all those "yes or no" questions. He at least knows those two words. :D

DW

Only by shaking ihs head and by expressions.

He talks. Remember in the beginning: "Your voice carries well, as usual"? Er, who said that? It wasn't Fado, was it? Or the guy on the platform? Bah, I can't remember.

I see him with his own special, noble place in some crack-troop division of the Hyrule military. Zelda and Link will always be fond of eachother, to be sure, but still, I'm doubtful they would make a couple.

DW

I don't think they ever really were fond of each other.

and he was talking about yelling, which takes no comprehension of language to do.
