Spoilers much? Thanks for ruining the ending for me.

DW

Don't worry Bboy, she didn't give you the whole spoiler...methinks she hasn't finished the game..

WW all the way. I was sooo looking forward to TP, but now as i play it.... i miss wind waker. I thought that this HUGE new world was going to be filled to the brim with side quests and people to talk to, but ... well it isn't. At the beginning of the game I really felt a part of the village, i was proud and felt an obligation to save these people.

Ever since I left the town all the towns people say the same thing. There is barely anyone in the WHOLE of the map of any interest to talk to, you end up going through the motions... completing the storyline just for something to do. Dont get me wrong, i love TP its scale and some of the storytelling is awesome, just it feels a little dead. In WW there was just so many different islands to visit... to explore. Windfall was a joy just to be in, they crammed so much onto a small island, while in hyrule town theres barely anyone of interest to speak to...if you even can speak to them... you cant even look around in the fixed camera view.

Quote>_> I've only died twice in TP, and that was only as a wolf. Either in a year, I have become really, really good, or TP is easier.

I don't think I ever really died in MM, with the exception of the one time the moon hit, the boss battle against Gyorg and a struggle with a Gold Skulltula.

In TP I was killed several times, in most dungeons. Even on my first playthrough on the GC version. It's also the first Zelda since ALttP where you lose a whole heart if you fall down an endless pit.

Gyorg. ;w; And the glitchy hills in Zora's Hall... -shakes head-

I died a lot at the beginning of TP, it was actually really funny, I was attacking the Twilit Kargarocs, and I kept jumping off the edges, and I got shot with fire arrows a lot wearing the Zora Armour...  ;)

DW

Yeah, I also kept killing myself attacking those kargaroks on the rooftops....and before that they kept killing me because I didn't know I could jump attack...

They were hard, so I just ran past them. But they do look cool. Why did the Twilight Palace have to be so short?

alical

I couldn't choose, they're both awesome.
In TP there was a lot of those moments where I couldn't figure something out, but it was like a tiny thing that I was shocked when I found out how to do it.
Like in Snow Peak, I couldn't figure out how to use the canon, I knew I had to use it but I only had one bomb bag, and it contained water bombs. I spent ages trying to put them along with the canon balls in the canon, since I thought they're bombs and almost the same shape as a regular one I never considered I would have to change them. I had to look it up and when I realised they had to be regular bombs I hit myself.

TWW didn't have that, I thought it was easier, as it was a bit more straightforward. I still loved it, I wish you could hold more pictures though.

Kairi

TP, TWW is much easiser and doesn't have enough dungens.

IronKnuckle

WW's writers are probly standing around downtown Tokyo holding up signs saying "Will create random plot points for food" right now. The story was bland and unimaginative at best. It also never bothered to explain anything. I still find it incredibly hard to believe that both Link and Zeldas ancestors (along with a lot of other people) survived the flood in order to populate all these islands. They can't all have been on the top of a mountain at the time. Also it never explained where the Rito came from. They couldn't have evolved from the Zora. The Zora are a fish race, if Hyrule flooded it would be a paradies for them. It would only make things better. It never told us how Tingle managed to get out of Termina (the Tingle RPG explains he is immortal, thus it is the same Tingle) either.

DW

Are you serious? The story was very good, and for all we know the Rito could have always been on the tops of the mountains and just never got discovered until everyone had to retreat up there.

Also, Link and Zelda's ancestors could have very well survived. Maybe they weren't the ancestors physically, but they were spiritually.

Thousands of years had passed between Majora's Mask and WW, Tingle could have very well found himself in a new place in all that time.

The story was good, yes, it was. I liked it. Oh well, to each his own.

Hey, you know what? Maybe Tingle's like the Happy Mask Salesman and can travel between dimensions... owo He did show up in the Minish Cap, too.

Commodore Axilon

Uh, why do we assume all the Tingles are the same person? Is the Tingle RPG even canon?

IronKnuckle

I am actually being a prick. I have looked back at some of my posts and relize I am being a little to harsh.

Lets get something straight. I think WW is great.....when compared to other non Zelda games. If it wasn't a Zelda game I would love it. However, becuase it is Zelda, it has to be able to compeate against other Zeldas (mainly the other 3D ones), which it miserably fails at. It is unable to live up to the awsome story and action of TP, the gameplay of OOT, or the mind bending puzzles of MM. While I consider all the 2D Zeldas (with the exception of MC) inferior to WW, it is nowear near as good as the other 3Ds. I can't wait to see if PH will succed in the areas WW failed.

Commodore Axilon

Well, that's all just your opinion. I, frankly, thought TP was quite a disappointment compared to the other 3D games. It was still an awesome game, yes, but not quite as good as MM, TWW, and OoT (in that order of awesomeness). I just felt it tried too hard, at everything basically, while not really focusing on anything. It was just all over the place.

TWW: "Hey guys, isn't this innovative? I'll bet you'll have lots of fun with me."
TP: "ZOMG look how awsome i m!!!11!1111! i m teh 1337 h4xX0r5!11!1!! play me!!11!! play me!!111"

And you never really answered my question regarding the Tingle RPG.
