Technically, the emulators themselves aren't illegal. The ROMs, however, are. So, yeah... ::)

JDog

Ok, that makes... no sence!

Gamefreak

Sense....

And how doesn't it make any sense?

Hi no Seijin

Very few things make sense to you, JDog.

It makes perfect sense; if you have an emulator of a system, that's totally okay. You could make your own games for it (somehow) or see how the thing works.

Stealing a game to play it, however, isn't so okay.

But I think if the game is out of production or you own it, then it isn't illegal, due to the fact that they aren't making any money off the game, anyways.

JDog

oh, ok, I get it know...

MatthewThief

it would be fun to make your own game, i have a bunch of characters planned out for a game that i hope to make someday. two of them i have drawn

JDog

Mags did that, but I never got to try it out, I didn't really feel like it at the time, it looked interesting. mags has something to where he can make his own RPG games, I'm not sure what its called though.

Fishalicious

RPG Maker XP.

The Postality Knights edition is free, if you catch what I'm sayin'. the other one needs a key code, or you can go and buy it.

All things involving ROM's are illegal unless you own the game yourself and aren't distributing it, however, you'll only get in trouble for emulating new games, like with a 360 emulator running Gears of War, or something like that.
However, don't advertise any sites for emulating on here.
Some of the easiest ROM's to hack and make your own game or movie out of are the pokemon games, but you still need a decent knoweldge of coding and stuff like that.

I thought it had a specific name... lol
and, TOT, try telling that to the site owners of Emulators, lol, I see alot of those, just none good ones...

As for Emulators, try and get Dolphin... it's high quality, from what I hear. It's a GC emulator, but they should have the Legend of Zelda: Collector's Disc in the games, with any luck.
