Bleach is the best manga ever.

My favorite characters are Gin, Hanataro (how can you not like him?  :) ), and Ukitake. Gin is one of the most perfect villians ever, and Hanataro is just such a unique character. Ukitake was also really cool, and I like his shikai too.

I was watching Bleach once, and all of a sudden my dad said "I like that guy with the short black hair" (hanataro).

hmm... none of the shinigami are really villans at the momment in the english anime besides Mayuri, and maybe Kenpachi

Neither Mayuri nor Kenpachi are villains.  They're simply misled/foolish.  Actually, Mayuri's just a total jerk, but that doesn't make him a villain...

I looked up villain at dictionary.com, and one of the definitions came up as:

A dramatic or fictional character who is typically at odds with the hero.

So basically, everyone who fights Ichigo can be considered a villain.  Whether these people are evil or just doing their job is debatable.

It's one of the many shows so good, you can't watch it dubbed.  It has to be subtitles.  The Adult Swim version, though?  It's dubbed for that, and they end up killing Kenpachi's voice... and Ichigo's, because of it.

In the anime, Gin is at the center of the brewing civil war in the Soul Society. Mayuri can count as a villian, as he opposes Ichigo's group and killed Uryu's grandfarther. Kenpachi is helping Orihime, and thus is an ally. Byakuya is a villian right now, too. Yamamoto, Soifon, Unohana, Komamura, Kyoraku, Tosen, Hitsugaya, and Ukitake take sides with the Soul Society because they merely think it is right. Aizen is dead. Except Renji (betray to help Rukia), none of the lieutenants matter. Ikkaku kinda does, but he follows Kenpachi's decisions. Hanataro betrays the Soul Society to help Ichigo, but is currently arrested. (He'll be released, however) In the manga, the truth behind Aizen's death and the Soul Society's civil war has been revealed. It's too spoilery, however.
