I didn't pay for the ps3. My mom got it for me for my 18th b-day. Even though I asked for a car. ah well. anyways, lets get back on topic shall we?

I thought you said you did pay for it. Or was that the 360...?

Anywho, E3 starts July 15, I think. So I think it won't be long! *expects a Zelda discussion boost and new forum board  :P *

It's rather obvious that it was a fake, from the moment that I saw the trailer.  No one, I repeat no one, would use text that terrible in an official (or even semi-official) trailer.  And yeah, not to mention the choppiness of the graphics, the fact that they're fighting in the Chamber of Sages, and all the other factors.

I'm quite sure that trailer was for the Oracle games.

But-but-but- It was too cool...  :'(

Keaton

Also, Holy Hell, that was an AWESOME fan-made thing.

...the fact that they're fighting in the Chamber of Sages...

I still don't understand why this meant it was probably a fake.

Keaton

Because it's not a logical place to fight.  The temple of Light was, indeed, in the Temple of Time.  The Chamber of Sages was in the Temple of Light.  However, the Golden Realm, which is logically where the Triforce would've taken Ganondorf (and Link) after claiming it, does not include the Chamber of Sages.  The Temple of Light exists as a Temple in and of itself, much like the Shadow Temple or the Spirit Temple.  When Ganon seized control of the Triforce, he would've had the power to reshape the world.  And, as we have established in the other games, he has a penchant to hide away in massive castles and fortresses.

Why would such a climatic battle take place in the Chamber of Sages?  It holds essentially no relevance other than a place to house the Holy Six.  The only reason Link was teleported there after each battle was because he had to hear what the Sages needed to say next, and the only reason he appeared in the Master Sword's chamber afterward was because that was the Link between the Temple of Time and the Temple of Light.

Nowhaddimeen?

Wait...the Temple of Light isn't in the Sacred Realm?

'Cause the game seems to disagree with you on that one.

It is in the Sacred Realm.  All I'm saying is that, like the other Temples, it would remain practically unspoiled by the otherwise cataclysmic change of the world from Light to Dark via Divine Intervention.  Ganondorf wouldn't be chilling there, he'd have his own castle.  It just wouldn't follow basic canonical law (i.e. Ganondorf/Ganon must always have a castle or other fortress somewhere in the game).

TL;DR:  NO U

Also, thanks to you,

I LOST THE GAME

That game wouldn't be, oh, Portal, would it?

Anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo ended up releasing a more graphically-capable Wii with more memory, since so many games these days are beginning to demand such.

Of course, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Nintendo didn't do such a thing, either. After all, it's not the games or the gamers they care about, it's the profit.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Keaton

No.  The Game.

Caution:  The internet article linked contains awesomeness and profane language.

But mostly awesomeness.

That's what had me confused.

My apologies.  I'm not thinking straight.  But you get the general gist of my post, right?

I disagree. These games actually show quality over quantity. Plus, to get the profit, it would have to at least give some thought to the games and gamers, wouldn't it? Otherwise, why would people want to buy that stuff? Fact is, people do buy it. Nintendo must be doing something right.

You want someone who fits your description a little bit more, though? Activision. *coughcoughGuitarHerocoughcough*

I say that they don't care about the gamers anymore because of their catering to the "casual gamer" audience. Most of the games Nintendo themselves put out have been good, sure, but what are all the rest? Shovelware, very poor, watered down versions of multi-platform games (Rock Band springs to mind), and games like "Wii Fit." Nintendo's mindset seems to have changed; now that they've discovered that the Wii sells so well to the "casual gamers" (just a synonym for non-gamers), they've abandoned the real gamers and begun marketing the Wii as an exercise machine and a toy.

I better stop there before I get any angrier at Nintendo...
