Seriously, I thought it was natural to ban people's IPs once they've been banned.

IP banning isn't as serious as you think commodore.
It just bans them so that they can't make multiple accounts thats all. The only problem with that, is if two people who share the same computer (for example: brother and sister), and you IP ban one of them, the other one is banned as well.

Right.  All I did was throw JDog's name on a list with people like miko and The Postman.

In the case that he does come back, then I'll IP ban him.

It's JDog.  It wouldn't exactly be hard to tell it's him.  Or if it's someone acting like him, we could check the IP.

If we did that for you, we'd have to do it for everyone. Then, banning, just wouldn't hold any gravity. It won't be the same here without you... but as mods we can't make exceptions. If I were banned, I wouldn't expect to come back either, unless I got an email telling me my ban-time was up or something along those lines.
