Actually, I beg to differ on that. If you use the Hero's Charm, you'll see--I'm very sure, that is; I haven't played this in a long time--a life gauge at the bottom of the screen with a skull next to it. That only happens when you're facing a boss, except for Ganondorf.

Yes, and the real Ganon in the game was very easy, much easier than Puppet Ganon.
