Life isn't always fair.  But to be fair, most parents are protective of their children.

I'm not sure if that's directed to me or not, but chill.  Religion may not have anything to do with it.  I'm pretty sure that if I had a son or daughter, I'd be keeping an eye on who they were dating; my being Catholic or not would have nothing to do with it.  Don't underestimate the power of a parent's love.  You can't really understand until you become one.
