I doesn't help much in the game anyway. I got curious and used a moonjump cheat (after trying for 45 minuets to use the chicken) to get there. Gerudo Fortress is abondoned (both inside and out) but there is a heartpiece in a crate on the balcony above the jail ( I think thats there as an adult too).
Your not really missing anything unless you want to go the long way to Desert colossus as a kid (you need moonjump to get over the gate).

Cheating is bad. I takes the fun out of the game most of the time. I only suggest using a GS if you have already beaten the game. They also may cause memory wipes of your files.
Anyway, it is common courtacy for fairies to repeat information hundreds of times so your partner doesn't foget it.
