I Like Pie.

Mysterious F.

This is so a General Zelda thing.

DW

I"m getting sick of all the constant Tingle-bashing...yes, he's wierd, but I admire him.

Hi no Seijin

Hey!  Tingle dresses and acts differently from everyone else!  So let's hate him!  Let's all start threads where we talk about how to kill him!

::)

If you hate someone just because they're not what you find "normal," than that just says what a horrible person you are.  And I've asked this so many times before.  What is normalcy as it applies to humans?

But we are humans. What is normal to us?

Seriously, I admire Tingle. He follows his dreams despite what other people say, even his own father. It appears he may have some disorder or other since he is so excitable, but are you going to start threads saying how much you hate this guy with ADD or Down Syndrome?

Tingles a hylian, foo.
Makes no difference.  He's still a guy going after his dream, no matter what others say, as Shikaboose has pointed out.  That is more worthy of admiration than bashing Tingle for following his dream.

I can certainly see Tingle having Down Syndrome, now that you mention it, Sikaboose.  The odds of his brothers having it as well seems kind of slim, but hey, whatever.  Nothing wrong with people born with Down Syndrome.  My oldest sister has Down Syndrome, and I think of her no less for it.

My cousin has autism and it's hard to do stuff with him sometimes (he won't learn to ride a bike no matter how hard I try :() He's no less of a person for it, and I hate the kids who take advantage of him because of it, and if they weren't younger than me and at a different school they'd pay for it...

I don't think Tingle has a disease, I think he just likes to see people squirm.

saria..

I don't hate tingle (although he is very strange).
He just wants to pursue his dream of  being a fairy (like that'll ever happen) even though the world  just gawks at him.  What's  next for tingle? The world may never know.
But is it just me or  does tingle remind me of  Michael Jackson.. ;D :o

DW

He's really nothing like Michael Jackson at all, and stop mentioning him in every post you make please.

I don't hate him becuase hes strange (though he does freak me out), I hate him becuase it annoys me that I have to give money to this guy to get my maps! In OOT, TP, and most of the other Zeldas the maps automatically update when you go somewhere but in MM you have to pay about 50 rupees every time you enter a new place.
I also don't like Tingle becuase of the annoying sounds he makes. Tingle's voice actor is one of the worst ones I've ever seen (next to the announcer from Fuzion Frenzy). I am actully glad MM didn't have any speaking, if his luagh is this groan inducing I'd hate to hear his voice.

Hi no Seijin

Oh no.  You have to pay 50 rupees for a map.  How dare Tingle have a map-making business. ::)

Are you aware of how easy it is to get rupees in MM?  VERY FREAKING EASY!  There are three chests in Termina Field that gives you twenty rupees each.  Also in Termina Field near the Astral Observatory is a tree with a guy in it; knock him down by rolling into the tree for another easy twenty rupees.  If you hearts are full, the red Chu-chus will give you one rupee.  Take out the Dodongos in North Termina Field for fifty rupees each.  In Clock Town, the crates near the center of East Clock Town will give you a rupee each if your hears are full.  Also in East Clock Town, on the Shooting Gallery roof, is a chest with 100 rupees in it.  In North Clock Town, if you use a fully charged spin slash, you can cut down all the bushes for about another 28 rupees.  And guess what?  If you put the rupees in the bank and go back in time, you keep those rupees plus you can open all those chests again for more rupees.  Wow!  It's so freaking easy!

Even in the other games, (barring Zelda I and II), getting rupees isn't hard to do.  Defeat enemies, cut grass, and (if the game has a shovel or other digging tool) dig up the ground.  It's a long process, but it's not like you have to track down a special map for it.

And you can dislike his laugh all you want.  But hating him out right for it?  No offense, but I find that pathetic.

Goodness, HNS, you seem to get awfully defensive about this; it's just a video game character, after all. What do you care what other people think of him, or why they think that way?

I'm sure nobody here actually hates a fictional character. It's just frustrated hyperbole, or shameless posing. And you have to admit that the ludicrous amounts of money he charges in WW are annoying, yes?

DW

Okay then, go without the  maps and charts.
