Maybe Ganon's alter ego, Aganihm(?), was just a portion of Ganon's power.

Mister J Sinister

I always had assumed that Ganon was simply posessing Aganhim's body, and his appearance over his body after you defeat Aganhim' is just showing that he was behind all of Aganhim's actions over the course of the game.

But I'll tell you where your logic fails; Aganhim, if hes an alter ego, he isn't ganon, hes an ALTER ego, even if they share the same body, hes someone else.

And in the Japanese version Aganhim was a priest, not a wizard. Which could possibly mean Aganhim was once a normal person, who probably ran into Ganon and then was twisted to his evil ways, and with the whole light/dark world Ganon needed someone to manipulate the light world he couldn't enter.

Or, like you were possibly implying earlier, Ganon created Aganhim as an alter mindset(and shared Ganon's original body and kept it in human form til Aganhim was defeated releasing Ganon and creating Ganon's darkworld body, the giant Pig.

At times, the alter ego can completely over power the other and then control them without switching egos.

...Well, yeah.  :-[  I didn't know this was in question.

LadyNintendo

I admit I prefer the idea of them being two different persons, both mind and body.

Quote
1) notice he has claws like Ganon, skin like Ganon, and eyes like Ganon. 2) How else can he use that magic and go to the Dark Realm all the time. 3) After you beat him in Ganon's Tower, you see a faint and short Ganon figure rising from his body before the bat comes. 4) When you fight Ganon, he says "It's unbelievable that you defeated my alter ego, Agahnim the Dark Wizard, twice!"

1. What version of Ganon are we talking about?
2. The way Zant could use some of Ganon's strength and he Zant's?
3. That doesn't mean he was with him/in his body the whole time.
4. He is a priest. Maybe he meant alter-ego as the person who does the things on his behalf in the Light World?

You guys give too much credit to words. If they meant something other than a second self in one's body, then they would have had him say something else. Also, I mean LTTP Ganon, and they never planned for TP to come out when they released LTTP, so it's possible that he would have been the only one like that in the Zelda Universe.

Also, it has been confirmed, that the miniboss of the fourth temple in OOS in Agahnim (I spelled it right this time!)

Vaati

He reminds me of Ganon, yes. There's quite a resemblense, is there not? My sister actually though Agahnim was Ganon until I told her. Then again, she thought Vaati's eyeball form was a Keese.
