Who do you like more Malon, Zelda, Saria, or Ruto?

I find most of the girls in LoZ games are kind of wimpy. Most of them can't even defend themself. But not Nabooru, of course, but even she needed to be saved.

Just because the dudes don't get in those kind of troubles, doesn't mean they aren't wimpy and only the girls are. Besides, having to be saved is not a sign of wimpiness.

One of my fav game chicks would be Mercedes Colomar (Meche) from Grim Fandango. A pure A+ soul. She sorta gets kidnapped (it's a bit more complicated) and you have to save her. At one point, she tries to free herself and the other prisoners, but fails miserably because the baddie knows she won't shoot him. She's too good. So it's up to the hero again.

Being a strong person has nothing to do with physical capabilities. Nabooru is a warrior, sue the other girls for not being one or having some cool magical abilities to protect themselves with.

Speaking of Nabooru, she proved to be strong the way it's most admirable. Despite what would happen to her, her main concern quickly became that boy she had met a few minutes/hours before and who she had dragged into this. Even if she would've been to weak to even ever raise an arm, that scene proved her strength, and that goes for everyone.

Yeah maybe thats why I like her....I guess I never really thought about that.

But haven't you noticed that in alot of nintendo games, the women either needs to be saved, (Peach needs Mario, and Zelda needs Link.) just helps out alittle bit,(Like Zelda giving Link his sword back in OoT.) or just runs and hides. The only woman I know in a nintendo game who doesn't need to be saved and can kick butt is Samus.

Like I said, to be saved, you need to be in danger/kidnapped in the first place. And if I'd be powerful king of something evil, I'd try to kidnap a cute girl rather than some guy too. People might get the wrong idea.  

Besides, Peach has her own game now. And she was quite supportive in Paper Mario. Oh, and she starred in SMB2. Those Toads are just lucky Bowser isn't interested in them 'that' way, so they get freed before Mario has to save 'em.

And Zelda always gave a lot of support. Besides, they do not have the equipment to eventually beat their guards, but I don't doubt they scratched some eyes out and might it very tough to keep them prisoner.

And other girls that can take care of themselves: female characters of Fire Emblem, Nana, Ann (that was her name, right?) and some more, but a lot of games never made it to America or Europe.

Lady Nintendo is right.  And there are some circumstances the prisoners might not have control of.  Such as Ganondorf trapping Zelda in a crystal in OoT or Vaati turning Zelda into stone in TMC.  Do you think you'll be able to do anything in those circumstances?  Also, the Oracles were targeted because Onox and Veran needed those powers under their control (not so much in Seasons, but still).  And like Lady Nintendo said, there are those female characters in games that don't get released outside of Japan.
