ya I guess the final boss was hard but I still think sephiroths first and final forms were extremely hard. ;)

He was joking, the final form of sephiroth(after safer sephiroth) is the easiest boss in any videogame, you don't have to do anything!

Yes, the final battle is unlosable.  Even if you don't use Omnislash, Sephiroth's attack will only deal 99.98% of Cloud's health, and Cloud will counter it, thus killing him.
