New Zelda: "Teen" Rating?

Somewhere I heard that the next Zelda game will be rated "T."  I hope they do, I mean no sense in doing what they did with WW; that was a mistake.  I would love to see a Zelda that is a little darker, and a little more violent.

Master Goron

What would be more of a mistake would be if they made it rated "M." But yeah, OoT should have been "T," but it wasn't. I thnk this one'll be the greatest though.

Darth Wyndisis

Yeah, you are right, especially with the Shadow Temple.  Did you notice the room with the blood splashed all over it in there?

Master Goron

Actually, I've never been in the shadow temple... :'( all the others though. The well was the same way, and ganon's death was kinda violent too.

Darth Wyndisis

Oh yeah, I kind of remember you talking about that.  In the first version of OOT, wasn't the green blood red when Link stabbed Ganon in the head?

Jack

Haha, the Shadow Temple was horrific. Need I mention the torture racks?

What did they do wrong with WW???  ???  ???  ???

But, yeah, it would be better if the new game was rated T instead of E all the time. The Zelda games can accually be pretty violent. And for the shadow temple, that was just gross (all the blood on the walls and floors)

i wanna share what my friend lee said about how zelda would go down the drain if it had a "T" rateing

"Oh yes lets make TP dark. In the next zelda we can have link use a gun and then we can have the almighty bullet time!!! yes another matrix nock off! then it can take the side affects of RPG's were all you do is run around and get no action! you kno why i like zelda? because it different! good day to you dear SIR!" he said that wile watching E3 with me...

Pickles

I think Link lives in a time where guns weren't invented. But even if they were invented, the zelda makers would not do such a thing. they know they'd get sued big time if they made it like those stupid games where people run around with guns shooting every living thing they see. But anyways, those kind of games are rated M. Honestly, I don't care if it's E or T, it's pretty much the same thing, but it's rating should represent how violent and/or appropriate the game is. And maybe, just possably, the Zelda games are rated E because you can't go up to normal people and start hacking them with a sword. (The sword goes right through their bodies. Yikes!) And I guess that's a good thing. Malon would be dead by now. JUST KIDDING!!

Master Dragmire

Shouldnt this be in the TP board? ???

trogdor0905

Probably... oh well.

I think that a T rating would help add to the darker side of the game. And add a more mature felling to the game to go along with the mature Link.

Pickles

Totally. (But not too dark... I'll have nightmares. Probaly about Link the wolf out to get me. :o)

I started this thread long before the TP board was set up, so this is where it is.

the trailers gave me and erie feeling like the shadow temple and gannons tower did (oot) so i thinks its gonna be that way almost threw out the game.
