Real Hunt

Hey I,m a bow fanatic myself, and I personally beleive that guns are a major crutch for a hunter. With a bow your using your own strength and your own aim and your own endurance. With all the guns today you can have scopes, silencers, tripods, lasers, and almost anything taht limits the use of your own personal skills. Alls fair in war but with a hunt it should be you against the animal to see who gets the better of who. And crossbows are hardly better, it was the abomination that took us from bow to bullet. Any other opinions?

Im into archery. Ive never hunted before, but I shoot the target on a bale of hay out back. Im a pretty good shot actually.

Alls fair in war but with a hunt it should be you against the animal to see who gets the better of who.

Why should it be you against the animal, it doesn't want to fight and it is unfair, all it has is its speed and endurance, whereas you have a great big bow/gun. And I doubt many people even eat what they catch.
Why would you chase after, trying to kill say, a deer when it has done nothing to hurt you and you just want to hang its head on your wall.

Anyway even though bows look better it is a lot quicker and less painful for an animal to take a well aimed shot at the head rather than an arrow bolt which wont go all the way in and leave it pain for a lot longer than any bullet.

I've always wanted to try achery myself.

But what you said is untrue. Usually when my family hunts down an animal they have a cookout and we eat that.

The only reason people should hunt animals is for food.  Ever since mankind has domesticed animals to raise as food, hunting has been sport, and I hate it.  If you're not going to eat the animal, there's no point in killing it.

And yeah, I rather shoot a bow than a gun.  Give me a bow like Link's; no scopes, no stabilizers.  I want to take up archery, but I can't afford it right now.  Maybe when I get a good job.

A good hunter will aim near the heart, to make it quick and painless. Never shoot an animal in the head. And yes, I know many people who enjoy venicen.

I see a lot of posts on people who don't eat what they hunt. Rule in my family is you eat what you kill. And for those of you who say hunting isn't fair for the animal, since when does a deer decide hey, lets play a game of chase me and try to kill me with any other predator, it's survival of the fittest. Honestly I do own a gun and shoot it for fun but when it comes to animals it's all me.

Also, in the essence of animal cruelty, arrows are more lethal than bullets if they hit an organ cuz instead of a straight hole an arrow rips apart all organs it comes in contact with.
