Hi I'm Dark Link the webmaster of the Hidden Triforce. My site is about half a year old but is already getting good hits and doing well. We just got our 100,000 hit. We have a good amount of constantly growing content and a nice interactive forum.

The links don't work, I think you forgot the .com or whatever you have. Also, I doubt this is meant to go in fanworks(though I don't know where Jack wants stuff like this). Sounds like your site is doing pretty good though.

Jack

Hrm, I guess this sounds like a good time to make a Links forum.

Sorry bout  the url thing I was in a hurry to finish typing so I oucld have band practice.

Thanks for the good comments but I am looking for some good staff not sucky people who say they will work hard but are never heard of again or never work.

Out of the many people on my staff page only 2 of them besides me has ever submitted anything good. One of them I haven't heard of in a couple of months.

Jack

Staffing is a hard thing to come by. Thankfully sometimes you get some great people willing to contribute to your site (such as the many good folks that help me out here) and other times you get stuck with bad eggs.

whothe

Is there anyway I can possibly affiliate with this site.

My site is about 7 months old. I am getting about 154 unique a day now. I have a good amount of content. A forum that is being redone at the moment and an image gallery coming soon.

Since I was looking for some help Zelda Fusion and I are merging sites due to the fact he was running out of money for hosting/domain name.

So he will be helping me run the site and all content off his site that the Hidden Triforce still needs will be going up soon.

If you want/need more info let me know.

Jack

This isn't the place for this kind of request. Contact me via PM or Email and we'll talk further there.

Speaking of Staffing... is this something that TDC's ever dabbled in? I noticed from the Site History page that it seems kind of like it's always been a one-man (one-Jack) endeavor...

Jack

That's the rule I like to go by, one-Jack. And, if anyone ever wanted to lend a hand to TDC, I'll accept and then splash their names all over.

I had staff way back in the day, didn't out to my liking.

weienw

Ah, I was just wondering. I mean, when I look at your "Under Developments" page, some of those things seem so...

Gruntworky.
E.g. "Major Typo Fix — Change all spellings of "Kohilint" to "Koholint"." That is, gruntworky unless you had some kind of handy mechanism that could go through .txt (or whatever extension you use for your webpages) files and then do a little bit of "find and replace" here and there. I know not of any such contraption, though (unless someone's REALLY good with the command prompt DOS-esque stuff).

But a job like that sounds like a 1-2-3 temporary staffer job:
1) Get a volunteer,
2) Tell them what to do and how to do it, and
3) Hand them the jingling keys to the ol' FTP

Just an idea.

And if throwing around the user/pass isn't an option, there are probably people out there who would be happy to, at least, do some easy jobs like resizing/converting "Link's Awakening Photos" for you so they're fresh and ready for uploading goodness.

Just my thoughts that pop into my head when I notice with agony the prospect of you fixing typos when you should be scribing patentable research on the Compendium, writing witty entries for the Bestiary, or (uhuhu!) making a new layout. ^^
*gets off of soapbox*

Jack

I've actually already fixed the problem  ;D my HTML editing software has a replace mechanism that can scour all files that you select. It took less than five seconds to do what should be a week's work.

Rest assured that as we speak I am churning out a constant torrent of new content for TDC which you will see more and more of in the coming days.

The new layout, however, is another matter. I need to be sufficiently inspired of a new design before I can begin working on that.

Quotemy HTML editing software has a replace mechanism that can scour all files that you select

Sweet. ^^ Well, I hope your Under Development list comes along nicely... I know I personally tend to freak out a little when I see a full to-do list. They tend to achieve their purpose, though (to-do lists, that is). Just watch out for pesky grunties on your list!  :D

Jack

As I'm sure you know by now I'm a wretched procrastinator. So, while I'm feeling "the zeal" I'm cranking out new stuff like no tomorrow. In fact, I'll probably end up adding more stuff to the UD list than I knock off anytime soon.

It's a sad state of affairs.

weienw

I'm sure it'll be fine ^_^. Just let the people know if there's anything that needs to be done...

For example, would it be a help to you if someone could email you (a list of) the correct file sizes for our new downloadables (i.e. Hyrule Symphony)? Or even just dig right into the dot-eitch-tee-em-ells?

Jack

Are the download sizes incorrect?
