Even though we have had our problems , she's still a cool person.  All she really need to do is keep an open mind.  You just can't go living closing your mind to everyone's opinions but you're own, and that applies to everyone.  You don't have to like my opinion, but you don't have to hate me for it either.  All I'm asking for is respect.  Ahem, sorry for the length.  I needed to get that off of my chest.
