Master Goron

So far, they're quite good. Just minimal things right now:

  • doesn't nosferatu earn the user life back?
  • Is the short bow supposed to be that good at criticals?
  • I think the weapon upgrade hits may be too high... I would suggest halving them
  • Maybe criticals(which are based on luck in the game) can be STR-DEF+d20 compared to 20...
  • (On levels ups)Do people choose which stats to upgrade?
  • What's [Recruit 15 lance] mean?
  • Will weapons break?
I'm also wondering, how do advanced classes have stats? Wouldn't you already have your stats by then?

That's all I can think of for now, but they're really good base rules.

Marin

Recruits 15 is HP, its 15 for all starts.
You do choose wich stats to upgrade.
Advancde classes give you added stats, you add those numbers to wich you have already.
Your critical thing would work fine I think, better than mine.
Should I narow down the weapons to Iron, steel, silver and brave? And havespecial items throughout the game?

Rievault

Are we going to use the same class system as FE8, with each base class having the ability to choose between two upon promotion?

Marin

Yep! For example, a recruit can choose between a knight or cavalier. Knights can be Generals or Great knights.

I must have misunderstood this, then.

QuoteSword Trainee-Thief-Rouge
                           -Assassin
             -Myrmidon-Sword Master

Does that mean that the Sword Trainee can go into either a thief or a myrmidon, and either of those can be promoted to assassin?

And concerning the items, I think there should be the iron/steel/silver/brave with uniques later on in the game. We'd have to use our imagination on a few of those, of course, but it'll be.. fun. Hehe.  ;)

Marin

Yes, thats what it means.

Master Goron

So far, I like it really well Marin. Makes me want to play FE again...  ;D

Quoteyou add those numbers to wich you have already.
The only problem I can really see with that is not really all that important, but AID will be extremely high, such as 52 for a Wyvern lord...

QuoteChoose where your from, Lycia, Bern, , Ilia, Erutia, Scace, Nabata
Is that the limit, or can people be from other places too... Ostia, Sacae, Caelin, Pherae, Etruria, Cornwell, Regley... places like that.

And yeah, I think the less items idea would be better, that way everyone doesn't have all the best/same weapons.

Didnt think bout AID, um 2nd and 3rd replace first, no making higher unless upgrading!

You can pick wich of any house that has a Lord ruleing over it.

Master Goron

Are swordmasters and berserkers going to get their +30% Crit boost?

Also, any idea when this'll be getting started? And would you mind if I helped out?

Awesome!!!

How long after the Original US Fire Emblem(was it 8?) does this take place? Doesn't sound like too many, to me.

Marin

Sword Masters and Berserkers will have a critical boost, dont know how much.

Itll start when I can find a hosting site or make my own, it would be great if you could help!

How many years? Well I want there to be the old Lords still so how about 6.

About Warriors, aren't they supposed to be able to equip a bow? Because, having the same stats as a berserker, the other promoted axe-only character class, Warriors would be at a distinct disadvantage with the critical boost for Berserkers.

On another note, I've jotted down something for my character.

Name: Serivan Rekol
Gender: Male
Faction: Bern
Hair: Short and black; the bangs fall to either side of his face.
Body:Serivan was built for agility; he lacks a strong build and muscle.
